TUTORIAL: Simple & Easy Daytime Winter Makeup Look

Winters are here and even though it doesn't really get cold here in Pune, there is a persistent chill in the air and the evenings and nights and get really cold! The late mornings and afternoons on the other hand are beautifully pleasant with the bright sun shining and a chilly breeze blowing...

Its hands-down romance weather and my today's makeup look and tutorial is inspired by this lovely weather!

Breakup of the Look

1. I have kept the base flawless and dewy. I am using a medium coverage foundation (Kryolan Ultra Foundation) and have set it with powder (MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation) only on my forehead, nose and chin. This way the T-Zone is kept non-oily while the rest of the face gets a dewy effect.

2. Next key thing about the look is the blush. The blush I have used in this look is L'Oreal Paris Lucent Magique Blush in Fuchsia Flush. The key is to opt for a blush that is neither matte nor contains chunky glitter. It should impart a sheen or a glow to the face...
I have also applied a bit of the blush on the bridge of my nose for a little dimension.

3. Next we come to the eyes... As is evident, I have darkened my eyebrows and have done a dramatic cut-crease on the eyes (eyeshadows from the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette)... But the main feature of the eye makeup that draws all the attention is the thick winged liner (using MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack)...

4. Finally the lips... Winter makeup generally calls out for matte berries and plums but I wanted the look to look more youthful than mature and hence I opted for a nude gloss (Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Super Natural)... It gives the look a whole new dimension as far as radiance is concerned and still makes it look understated and young...

Let me know if you like the look and if you would want me to do more such posts...
I love to hear from you guys :) ♥

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In NC42

Review of MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In Shade NC42

Guest Post By: Rmyah

There are days when I just cannot help look at myself through any reflective surface that I can. Be it mirrors, glass doors, rear view mirrors, the back of a spoon and even a pond. And then there are days when I wished everyone was blind, every mirror shattered, the serene water turbulent, anything to avoid me seeing my face. One such day when my skin was going through a blearrrgh phase I decided to put my face on the web and show you how I deal with it. My savior is the MAC studio fix fluid foundation which has been my HG foundation for about three months now.
