REVIEW: Sleek Makeup Blush By 3 in Lace, Swatches & Review

So the last time I visited Vero Moda (that was 2 days ago), the bestie and I were overwhelmed by the sheer amount of lace that was in the store. Everything from sweaters to tops to skirts to dresses to shorts to undies to headbands was either completely made out of lace or had some part in lace...

Now lace is something that I have a love/hate sort of a relationship with... There are times when I completely adore the products of lacemaking and then there are times when I have had enough... However, lately I am in love with laces and it is not just in clothes!

I am hook, line and sinker in love with Sleek Makeup Blush By 3 in Lace!
Remember my Luxola Haul?

Price of Sleek Makeup Blush By 3 Lace Palette:

It costs USD14.99 on the Sleek website.
I got it from for INR 1000/-

It is a palette of 3 beautiful blushes, 2 matte and 1 shimmery, all named after types of laces... Crochet, Guipure and Chantilly... Sounds petty, don't they? :)
They look even prettier...

I am wearing Sleek Makeup Blush in Crochet

This Orange blush is called Crochet and it looks like a pale Orange on medium skintones like mine. It gives a beautiful dimension to one's face. Texture wise, the blush is a little chalky but not so much that will end up being bothersome...

Add captionI am wearing Sleek Makeup Blush in Guipure

This beautiful shimmery blush is called Guipure and is pretty similar to Sleek Rose Blush, which in turn is a dupe of NARS Orgasm. On the cheek it isn't very shimmery and imparts a beautiful sheen instead of chunky glitter.
Incidentally, Guipure is my favorite type of lace and I think the beauty of the lace is rightly captured in this gorgeous blush

Last but certainly not the least is this delightful pink blush called Chantilly... Its delicate shade of Pink that looks ethereal on one's face. The bestie says it makes me look virginal :P This too is a matte shade, a little chalky in texture but nothing that one cannot live with...

(L-R): Crochet, Guipure, Chantilly

All in all the Sleek blushes have a decent stay tie of about 6-8 hours in an AC environment... In the sun it may last you for 4-6 hours...
Pigmentation wise they are pretty low but the good news is that they are build-able and with 3 layers, you are good to go!

Overall Rating:

If you love blushes, especially matte ones and want 3 in the price of 2 drugstore ones, then this surely is something that you must buy!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :) Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;) Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal

Changes in my Skincare and Fitness Perspective Post 30

Changes in my Skincare and Fitness Perspective Post 30 #Adulting One early morning while I was sipping an exceptionally strong cup of coffee and introspecting I identified a few lifestyle changes that I had incorporated in the past year or so. On further retrospection I realised that these changes were a part of what I perceived would be good for me in the long run... When did I start thinking about my health in the future? When did I start worrying about how my skin would be 10 years down the line? OMG was I #Adulting? Is this even the correct usage of the latest hashtag?

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener  Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work... Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!
