REVIEW: Kryolan Eye Pencil in Purple

REVIEW: Kryolan Eye Pencil in Purple

Eyeliner pencils are a lifesaver, aren't they? Especially when you feel lazy or are in a hurry, eyeliners can jazz up your look in seconds and ready you to rock whatever you are attending... They are easy to use, very travel friendly and can be found in some really fabulous colors. And that's exactly the reason why I am always on the look out for new shades, brands and textures.

On one such quest I came across this Kryolan Eyeline Pencil in Purple. I was visiting the Kryolan store in Lajpat Nagar, Nagar and browsing through base makeup and stuff, when I noticed the glass beakers in the corner holding numerous shades of eyeliner pencils. I have written all about My Kryolan Haul HERE.

So today I am going to be reviewing this pretty colored pencil...

The Kryolan Eyeliner Pencil in Purple comes in a wooden pencil form that looks and feels exactly like a pencil crayon. It's really long though and hence makes me feel that it would last me quite sometime. Texture wise it is a little waxy and a little flaky. Though it does glide on pretty smoothly (without tugging), pigmentation wise its a little lacking.

Price of Kryolan Eye Liner Pencils

They cost INR 200/-

One thing that caught my eye with this pencil is that the nib of the liner wasn't sharpened to be pointed, rather it was a blunt nib that made sure that it did not poke or hurt my eye! Kudos for thinking of this Kryolan.

My biggest issue with this eyeliner pencil is that it does not stay on for long. It was gone within a couple of hours of wear leaving behind just a little tinge of color.

Texture and color are the winners here. However, if you are looking for a long stay eye liner pencil with some amazing pigmentation then you may want to give this a skip!

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
