LOTD: My Current Everyday Makeup Look

I have been keeping pretty busy lately, work especially has been crazy and then there is this pledge I took to renew Handlooms Of India with full vigour (it was getting sidelined) and then now there is Gulabi-Pink :) I am just dabbling with a lot of things lately hoping to find something that I might want to finally settle with...

With so many things going on, I haven't been able to take time out to do a proper makeup while going out since a long long time! And no a couple of looks for blog posts don't count! I am talking about real life looks that I wear to real events and functions...
So I thought of doing this post through which I'd like to share with you all my current everyday makeup look. Even though it is really simple but it does look polished and well turned out... But of course you guys will be the final judge :)

Makeup Breakup:
1. I haven't used any base over my Johnson's Baby Lotion. But if you'd like, you could use a BB Cream or a powder foundation for that natural look.
2. I have thickly applied black eyeliner (MAC Fluidline in BlackTrack) all around my eyes... As you can see it has some really generous coats ;)
3. I have applied some mascara (Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara) to open up my eyes.
4. I have then applied a natural looking blush (Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush in Creamy Cinnamon) for a subtle tinge of color.
5. Finally I have used a nude lip polish+color+gloss (The Body Shop Love Gloss in Blush Pink).

Buy Johnsons Baby Lotion
Buy Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara

Would you try this look on yourself?
Did you guys like the look?

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
