Review of  Lakme Absolute Plump and Shine 3D Gloss in Peach Shine

You know the biggest mistake that you can commit when trying to lose weight is, rewarding yourself. I weighed myself today morning to be 2 Kgs lighter than I was a week ago and to reward myself, the pati and I went out to Pizza Hut for lunch. Big Mistake! Huge Mistake! Humongous Mistake! The guilt I feel right now is immeasurable and I vow to not reward myself till I lose 5 more kilos...

Sighhhhhhhh...

So anyways, since I don't want to drown you all in my sorrows, I'll go ahead with today's product review. The product that I am reviewing today is Lakme Absolute Plump and Shine 3D Gloss in Peach Shine. Now honestly if I had swatched it at the store, I would have never bought it cause well its almost white and I obviously cannot wear white lip gloss! Ever!

But I got it as a sample and so it was added to my kitty...

For a very long time it remained unopened and lay almost forgotten... However, while cleaning my dresser the other day, I was making a list of products that had reviews pending and well this gloss joined the list.

Lakme Absolute Plump and Shine 3D Gloss in Peach Shine - Review

Lakme Absolute Plump and Shine 3D Gloss in Peach Shine is a pale gloss with a pretty peach tint and golden shimmer. It looks pretty as a shade but if you swatch it keeping in mind that it is a lip gloss, you might feel a little intimidated! I mean seriously, who wouldn't think that it would wash them out!

However, it isn't as scary as it looks or sounds, rather I feel it gives a very pretty sheen to my lips and very surprisingly doesn't wash me out at all! It is a universal shade that I feel would suit all skin tones. And if you have pigmented lips, you can still embrace it.
But ofcourse you are looking at how plump it makes one's lips, well for me it didn't have any plumping effect

The shade I agree isn't something that would be alluring to everyone. The pati for one doesn't know what to think of it. All he says is that it is "weird" meaning he has no clue what the color or shade is :)
Texture wise, this Lakme Absolute gloss is pretty sticky and may be off-putting a little but if you live with MAC Lipglasses and Maybelline Shine Glosses then this is no biggie :)

As far as packaging is concerned it comes in the standard transparent tube type packaging with a metallic screw-on cap attached to a doe-foot applicator. But yes the quality is good and it is sturdy and hence it is pretty ok to carry it while traveling.

Recommendation
If you are game enough to take some risks and experiment with different shades and textures then you might want to give this a shot. It is not your run off the mill shade but then it isn't unflattering so why not give it a try? ;)

Overall Rating:
8/10

  1. I too have one such shade Revlon.. I use it on top of a lipstick so that it gives that sheen to the lips...

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
