HAUL: Long Weekends at the Starting of the Month!

Long Weekend Shopping Haul from FabIndia, The Body Shop, MAC, Zara and Vero Moda

Long weekends are a boon but if they fall during the starting of the month then nothing can stop them from becoming a bane, for me at least!
We had a long weekend, this one, due to the beginning of Ganesh Utsav on Friday and well I just couldn't help myself from going all out and buying stuff that I didn't need... I do that often and end up with stuff that I really never need... But then again, that's the fun part of life now, isn't it? ;)

By now of course you all know I am a huge fan of FabIndia and a "huger" fan of The Body Shop, so my haul posts are never complete without stuff from at least one of these places... This haul however, features from both these favorite stores of mine and a little more :)

FabIndia
I got some cute home decor stuff... A pair of Fuchsia, Linen curtains for my Dressing Room and some China Clay utensils for the kitchen :)
And not to forget a yummy smelling Orange & Cinnamon Face & Body Scrub! I'll be reviewing it soon!

The Body Shop & MAC
My TBS visit was more out of necessity than temptation as I was dangerously running low on my shower gels and body butters. So I got myself my favorite Olive Shower Gel (5th bottle) and Olive Body Butter (3rd tub). Additionally, I also got myself a pair of matching Bath Gloves (3rd pair!), a powder brush and the much talked about Lip & Cheek Tint!
I was running low on my MAC Brush Cleanser as well and so I grabbed a bottle of the elixir as well ;)

Zara & Vero Moda
From Zara, I got myself some tops mostly for work and from Vero Moda I got myself some undies. Oh come on! Don't judge, the undies simply looked so cute and the colours were so yummy, I had to get myself some :)

Local Store
Finally, from this local store I got myself a pair of magenta pink platform chappals that the pati and the bestie simply HATE. The bestie has asked me to never step into her house wearing those hideous monstrosities while the pati has threatened to burn them when I am not home! Ha! As if that would deter me ;)

I got them for this road trip I am planning with my baby sister next weekend...

Where am I going? Now that's a secret for now since I don't want to jinx it but you are welcome to make a few guesses!
Clue: We are planning a road trip from Bangalore

One lucky person who guesses the right answer will win a little surprise from me ;)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
