Review of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original

Hey all beauty geeks!!!
This is my first post on this blog and I am thankful to Samyukta for letting me be a part of this awesome space.
For me, makeup started with a kajal and I have really come a long way since then. However, one thing that has not changed is my love for eye makeup. Over the years, I have become a hoarder of several eyeshadow palettes and zillions eyeshadow pans. But, its only now that I have realized just an eyeshadow is not enough for the flawless eye look. You need other 'tam-jham' viz. specific brushes and primer as well.

I started with a cheaper primer and was very happy with it. It was only a chance that I bought the famous Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Portion in Original. I used it a couple of times and was swept off my feet. People good quality primers do make a difference!!! OK, enough of my blabbering; let us dive into the review.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion comes in four variants - Original, Eden, Sin and Greed. The Original primer potion is a beige colored primer that becomes almost sheer when blended. It has a medium consistency, not very thick or runny. It is perfect for every skin tone and neutralizes the lids to some extent. But if you are looking at hiding pigmented lids, this baby will disappoint you in that area. But then, it is not its job to give coverage. It promises a solid base to  your eye look and excels in doing that.

Price of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Portion in Original

It costs USD 20

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Portion in Original blends easily and makes every eyeshadow look more vibrant. Even the least pigmented shadow pops up. The eyeshadows last almost the entire day, without creasing or smudging. This is a miracle in itself as my oily lids impart mobility to every eyeshadow and eyeliner I put on my eyes. This primer helps me keep the boundaries intact. And the look flawless.

The primer comes in a purple colored squeeze tube with a silver cap. The color and the design of the cap makes the primer look so royal and stylish. You need a very tiny amount for the entire lid, so the primer will last you for a long time. The tube renders a very proportionate amount each time you squeeze it, so no wastage on that front as well. All in all, a Perfect Packaging for a Perfect Primer. Lots of Ps!!!

Ooooohhsss And Aaaahhhsss!!!
1. Great staying power.
2. Makes shadows look more colorful.
3. Does not crease or smudge.
4. Blends easily.
5. Controls oil on oily lids.
6. The quantity will last for a long time.
7. Stylish packaging.

Ouches!!!
1. Bit expensive.
2. Unavailability in India.
3. If you use a bit more than required, it may appear goopy.

Repurchase?
Of course yes!!!

Recommendation:
If you are an eye makeup lover, you ought to buy this cutie pie to prove your allegiance to the 'eye makeup world'. On a serious note, it will cost you a bit more than a Mac eyeshadow, but will make every eyeshadow look like one (almost)!!!

Overall Rating:
9/10

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
