My Khoobsurat Moment, Thanks to L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss

My Khoobsurat Moment, Thanks to L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss

You know when you are having a dull and drab day at work because of a lot of workload, the stress and strain of meeting deadlines and someone just compliments you out of the blue... Doesn't it feel special? Doesn't it make you look at life in a new light? Doesn't it make a khoobsurat moment that you know you'll look back at with pleasure?

Ok so this happened to me a couple of days ago when I was really struggling with a lot of pressure at work. I had numerous tasks to finish before Monday dawned and I had almost given up, when I decided to visit the washroom and freshen up my makeup in hope that it would in turn cheer me up...
So armed with my lippy, kajal and blush, I visited the washroom. Midway between freshening up my lipstick and blush, another lady employee entered the washroom and smiled at me. I smiled back and resumed with my task at hand.

A split second later, I realise that the lady is now intently staring at me making me feel all conscious about touching-up my makeup... She then asks me, "Do you write about beauty and makeup?". I smile and hesitantly reply in the affirmative. Her smile broadens and she comes and touches my hair and says, "You know I read about your post on how you colored you hair and I wasn't convinced. Now that I am seeing it in real life, I really love how your hair looks"... Imagine my astonishment. Never did I imagine in my life that some colleague of mine would come and compliment me on my hair color! :)

She then went on about how apprehensive she was about hair color and even though she had started detecting some greys herself, she wasn't sure if she wanted to take the plunge or not... I told her that one of my main reasons for coloring my hair was to cover greys and it has worked wonderfully for me. And as far as hair damages were concerned, even though I rebond my hair pretty often, coloring my hair with L’Oreal Paris Casting Crème Gloss hasn’t had any bad effects rather my hair is softer and less frizzy… I was also able to complete colouring it in 20 minutes at home!

Of course it sounds all PR-ey and seems like I am advertising for L’Oreal Paris, but I am genuinely happy with the after effects :) I can’t wait to try the new trends that one can do with coloured hair.

So the hair coloring experiment did turn out to be a success and when an unknown colleague came and complimented me on it, it made my day... It was indeed a #KhoobsuratMoment for me and I'll cherish it for days to come :) So, here’s the way my hair was looking that day…

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
