Review of The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil

This review has been long due but I really wanted to try this little Serum-In-Oil to my heart's content and form a SOLID review to share with you guys. So without much ado lets just jump straight into it, shall we? :)

The Body Shop Vitamin E range is one of my favorite ranges from TBS and so when I a couple of months ago was informed that they had launched a new overnight serum treatment I knew I had to get it. So I made a trip to the nearest TBS, which btw is 14 kms from my place and got this little glass bottle filled with something that promised to be an elixir for my on-the-verge-of-aging skin... I am very close to 30 you see and I really needed something that would genuinely work on my skin...

And thank God I found TBS Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil.

Price of The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil

It costs INR 1695/-

As the name suggests, it is in an oil form and it claims to be an overnight facial serum in oil... Well I don't really how a serum-in-oil is supposed to be better than a plain serum but I know it sure does work.

What I really like about it is that it gives instant results. One doesn't need to wait for a week or weeks to see results with this product. You apply it at night and the morning after you wake up to beautiful, supple, glossy skin. With regular use, you can see that your skin has cleared and it starts to look flawless with just a week's usage. Yes it is miraculous like that :)

One thing that really surprised me was that my skin took to TBS Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil better than Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate! Yes you read it right! I found this better than the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate and that I think is HUGE!

It has a soothing and a calming fragrance that is understated and subtle and texture wise feels like runny oil. When you apply it you immediately feel relaxed and almost 80% of the product immediately gets absorbed. The rest of the 20% stays on your face and hence it is to be used immediately before you go to bed.

It comes in a glass bottle with a glass dropper and hence may not be very travel friendly. Also even though the dropper et al are all cute and novel, it does get a little inconvenient during application.

But its a wonderful product for beauties with Dry, Normal and Combination skin. I am not sure how well will it work for Oily skin divas...

And yes I will definitely repurchase this!

Recommendation:
If you have Dry to Normal skin and you are looking to pamper your skin and at the same want it to look supple, radiant and clear then you MUST give this is elixir a try!
Girls with Oily skin might need to test it first!

Overall Rating:
10/10

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
