REVIEW: Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Green

Review of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Green

The past couple of months have been crazy in terms of office workload and hence unhealthy sleeping patterns, family weddings and hence unhealthy eating patterns and well laziness... And so last week when I weighed myself to be 60 kg (I am 5'3.5") I almost freaked out and have been on a strict dietary regimen ever since. More about it in detail in an upcoming post...

However, today we had some people visiting us from the US office and well I kinda "over"indulged myself with Snickers, M&Ms and well Twixes... And so even though I feel really guilty, I feel happy :) Oh come on! Chocolate is something that makes *everyone* happy ^_^

So coming back to today's review, it is about this colored eyeliner that isn't very true to its name and it is Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Green...
When I say it isn't true to its name I don't refer to the eyeconic part but to the part that says is it GREEN cause the shade hardly looks any green, I find it to be more a blue :)

Price of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Green

It costs INR 250/-

However, quality and wear time wise it is a true Lakme Eyeconic product. It glides oh so smoothly both on the waterline as well as on the lashline and gives an intense color payout...
It smudges a little at the corner of the eyes but nothing that cannot be easily wiped off... It stays on for pretty long and I love the way it is priced so comfortably for the pocket...

Apart from the shade (which is not a true Green), I have no complaints from the product.

If you are looking for a true green liner, then you might want to skip this.

Will I Repurchase?
Not if I want a green liner.

Overall Rating:
8/10 (-2 for the shade not being what it is supposed to be!)

  1. Ooooh You have no Idea How much I want Lakme products but they dont get delivered to my Country :'(

  2. It totally looks blue! I have the eyeconic brown and I really like it, its a dark brown.. but its brown, not black! :P

    1. ha ha ha I like the way you said "but its brown not black" :P
I was sooo excited to try a green shade and so got this home... But I was done with all pictures and stuff and I applied it I was like WTF! :D

  3. Its a. Lovely shade. Quite different. And I love coloured eye pencils!

  4. i love the eye conic range but this one looks turquoise naa…..

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
