NARS Blush in Exhibit A - Photos, Swatches and FOTD

Not a long time ago, looking at my beauty dresser, I was told by a (spiteful) woman that she never wore makeup because "thankfully she was naturally beautiful"... Well it hurt at that time but I am glad I didn't take it to heart because gradually I saw her immersing herself into makeup so much that today she seems to be almost drowning in it... And I am glad I didn't listen to her, because if I did then I wouldn't have been an excitedly, proud owner of this wonderful thing called NARS Blush in Exhibit A

This blush called Exhibit-A is my first NARS product and has been my favorite blush since the day I started using it. It is the only blush that I have been using ever since and even though it looks really bright and scary in the pan it can prove to be one of the most versatile blushes once you master applying it!

Nars Blush in Exhibit A - Review and Swatches

Honestly? I was looking for Taj Mahal but I couldn't find it on the US Sephora site and so chose this instead...

Price of NARS Blush Exhibit-A

It costs USD 30/-

NARS Exhibit-A is a bright orange-ish Red, matte blush that is very finely milled and is very soft and smooth on application. It has a decent staying power, nothing very awe inducing but gives one such a beautiful flush of color on their cheeks that it is difficult not to love it.

Like I said before it is a tricky shade only because one can very easily apply a little too much and well end up looking like a circus clown. This blush requires patience, practice and a little skill and once you've gotten yourself comfortable with it, then applying it every morning even when you are in a rush, is a cakewalk. I promise!

Here are 2 pictures of me wearing the blush, one with a light hand (for work) and one with a heavier hand for a dinner date with the pati...

So which NARS blush is your favorite? Do you dare to try this shade? :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
