Mini Kryolan Haul

A Mini Haul from Kryolan

You know those times when you plan to curb your shopping impulses, promise yourself that you will not step into any store and even keep your wallet devoid of any cash so as to not get tempted? And then you know the times when in spite of all measures you end up giving in to temptation and end up getting things you don't require...
Well yes that is what happened to me...

So I was in Delhi last weekend... It was the father-in-law's 60th birthday and there were some family issues that the pati needed to be a part of and so we planned a 3 day trip... Before we left for the capital, the pati asked me indulgently as to what I planned to get myself from "his" city... Of course, my first reaction was to jump at the opportunity and then sanity prevailed and I told him (much to his surprise) that I planned on practicing self restraint and that I wasn't going to shop anything as such...

But then the moment I set foot in the sweltering heat of Delhi, I remembered that I had promised my sweet sister-in-law (who is to be married soon) that I would take her to Kryolan for some makeup shopping... And hours later we were roaming around Lajpat Nagar, buying knick-knacks, eating Ram Laddoos, Pani Puris and looking for the Kryolan store...

And well once we entered the store, rest was all history...
And well here is what I purchased...

  1. Kryolan Fixing Spray
  2. Kryolan Professional Lipstick
  3. Kryolan Pencil Eye Liner
  4. Kryolan Liquid Liner in Black
  5. Kryolan Flat Eye Shadow Brush
Will be reviewing stuff soon :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :) Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either. This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids. Image of the Product Faces Long Wear Eye Pencil in Navy Blue Swatches Swatch: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue LOTD Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :) Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;) Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal
