Giving Back to ISLM Readers - A Token of my Gratitude

A little gesture of Gratitude to my ISLM Readers

There have been times when I am down in the dumps and I feel nothing in this world could cheer me up... But one look at my blog's comments, one look at the comments on ISLM's facebook page or one look at your tweets to ISLM and I am buoyant again...
Same way there are times I am ecstatic and I just have to share it with somebody... Of course the pati is the first to know about such events but for news pertaining to makeup and stuff its you guys I feel like sharing with first...

What I am trying to say I guess is that I may not be one of the top blogs or the one with the most readers and all that jazz but whichever level ISLM is at, its been its readers and their love and support that have been behind it all...
And so today I want to give back to you, to the reader community and to everyone of you who love ISLM a little token a gratitude...

I would be choosing a "Reader of the month" and in order to show my appreciation would be sending across a little something to the winner... Its my little way of saying THANK YOU :)

So since today is the 1st of the month, I think its the perfect time to start this little endeavor of mine...

And the token for July's Reader winner is Maybelline Lip Polish in Glam9...

How would I be choosing the Reader of the Month?

Well honestly, there wouldn't be anything scientific behind it. It'll just be one of you all who comment (regularity plays a small role) on the blog, connect with me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and well anyone who takes a genuine interest in ISLM...
You know its the feeling that I get on connecting with you all more than the physical points like "number of comments" and "number of likes" and stuff, that is important...

I am not sure if you are understanding what I am trying to say... Its so difficult to put feelings into words na...

I will be announcing the "Reader of the month" on the 30th of every month...

I love you guys... Really ♥

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

10 Best Loose Powders Available in India

10 Best Loose Powders Available in IndiaISLM Writer: Sanchita

Summer is going to knock on the door soon and we, who are blessed (or cursed) with oily skin, will crawl back to our powders and/or matte foundations to keep the skin oil-free as far as possible. Being oily skinned, I have always found my way back to loose powders even though their packaging is slightly messy. This is because loose or translucent powders are more finely milled than the compact versions and hence gives you an even look rather than a made-up cakey one. Compact has the tendency to look rough under eyes or around the mouth whereas loose powders work excellently. No wonder, oily skin stays matte for longer duration than it does with the compact ones. Mostly, it gives sheer to buildable coverage and sits on the skin like a natural finish look.
