REVIEW: Lancome Cesigner Bloom Lipstick in Sheen

REVIEW of Lancome Designer Bloom Lipstick in Sheen

Guest Post By: Mrittika

At times I really wonder the evolution of different textures, finishes and looks of makeup. I mean who made all these???

So here today I’ll be sharing a lipstick with a sheen finish. Well this lipstick was a gift from my aunty from US quite some time back. I was using this lipstick every day. I don’t know but I felt that the day I applied this lipstick, my day went well. Yes, it doesn’t make any sense but somehow I was kind of superstitious as I was going through a bad phase at work.

So now coming to the packaging, it’s nothing fancy. Plain and simple black plastic. The shade is a mixture of mauve and pink. If it hadn’t been a pearly finish, it would surely make a great shade. It has in numerous micro silver shimmers which give the pearly finish. Due to its pearly finish, the colour doesn’t show well in a single swipe. I have to apply a couple of swipes to make it visible. The texture of the lipstick is very thin. It glides on smoothly. It has a very poor staying power. Hardly 2 hours.

Ooohhhsss and Aaahhsss:
  1. Doesn’t make lips dry
  2. One swipe gives your lips very little colour but makes it look good

Oouches:
  1. Lots and lots if shimmers (not a fan of them)
  2. Poor staying power

Recommendation:
No. I don’t feel happy for having it and those who don’t own, will not feel bad about it also.

Rating:
5 out of 10

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In NC42

Review of MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In Shade NC42

Guest Post By: Rmyah

There are days when I just cannot help look at myself through any reflective surface that I can. Be it mirrors, glass doors, rear view mirrors, the back of a spoon and even a pond. And then there are days when I wished everyone was blind, every mirror shattered, the serene water turbulent, anything to avoid me seeing my face. One such day when my skin was going through a blearrrgh phase I decided to put my face on the web and show you how I deal with it. My savior is the MAC studio fix fluid foundation which has been my HG foundation for about three months now.
