Review of Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer

For those who didn't know, concealers are of two types... One that actually conceal that are thick in consistency and are used to conceal dark spots, acne marks and the like and the other type that act more like highlighters while concealing only lightly. The latter type generally have a runny consistency and have some shimmer particles that act as highlighters.

Maybelline's Dream Lumi Touch Concealer is a highlighting concealer and it does exactly what it is supposed to. It lightly conceals, greatly highlights and makes your face look instantly brighter.

I particularly like to use on my under eye area, and on the bridge of my nose to give a little dimension and it works brilliantly on me. It can also be used on your cupids bow and on your chin for highlighting.

Texture wise Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch concealer is smooth and pretty easy to blend. All the shades have pink undertones instead of yellow but for my under eye area I am not complaining.
The concealer comes with a synthetic brush instead of having a doe-foot applicator. I am personally not a fan of these brush applicators as I feel they are a little unhygienic and trap product leading to a lot of wastage.

One issue I have of this product is that it tends to settle into my fine lines and make them look a little aggravated. Apart from that I don't really have any complains of this product.

Recommendation
If you don't have very severe under eye circles and are looking for a light concealer with highlighting properties then you must give this a shot.

  1. I tried this one, and for me, it did more than lightly conceal. It is actually the first concealer to have properly worked on concealing my under eye darkness, EVER!
I hate the brush type applicator too. It is more messy, unhygienic and like you said, traps product and hence causes wastage.

  5. I was eagerly waiting for this review since I saw this product in your haul picture. I have a medium wheatish complexion with slightly dark under eyes, which shade of this concealer I should try? I've heard that the choice of shades are very limited.

Loved the pictures!! You have got a flawless skin, Samyukta!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

Review of MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In Shade NC42

Guest Post By: Rmyah

There are days when I just cannot help look at myself through any reflective surface that I can. Be it mirrors, glass doors, rear view mirrors, the back of a spoon and even a pond. And then there are days when I wished everyone was blind, every mirror shattered, the serene water turbulent, anything to avoid me seeing my face. One such day when my skin was going through a blearrrgh phase I decided to put my face on the web and show you how I deal with it. My savior is the MAC studio fix fluid foundation which has been my HG foundation for about three months now.
