Guest Post By: Pallavi

Lakme seems is on a roller coaster these days. They have been coming up with many great products which are affordable as well as superb in performance.
They have launched a 9-5 range specifically for office ladies. Under this they have come up with gorgeous lipsticks which made lipgloss girl like me to use lipsticks. They have also come up with 15 amazing nail paint shades which seem to be tailor made for office goers.

The shade I am reviewing today is Oak Room. Let’s see it’s a hit or a miss

Price of Lakme 9 to 5 Nail Colors

INR 200 (9 Ml)

My Review of Lakme 9 to 5 Nail Color:
I have 2 nail paints from this range and I must say both are just adorable in bottle and even on nails. The nail paint comes in a travel size bottle which easily fits in my makeup pouches. The bottle is transparent which makes the color identification quite easy. The bottle is quite durable i must say because I have dropped it several times on floor but it still survived. So, plus 1 for that. Also the brush is quite good. It is wide enough to cover the nails completely at one go. The pigmentation is nothing short of superb. The color comes up in single swipe. You can further build it with additional swipes.

Oak room is a beautiful muted brown color which easily goes with your office wears. This just settles on your nails without shouting loud for attention. It is that kind of shades which are silent killers. If your man is a perfectionist like mine he is surely gonna love this. These are those “Boys will love” kinda shade. The additional point of this nail colors are that they easily stay till 3-4 days without chirping off.  The dry time is considerably low as compared to other drugstore brands.  Moreover, you can easily remove them with regular nail paint removers.

Pros –
1.    Brilliant color
2.    Will look great on Indian Complexions
3.    Color payoff superb
4.    Brush quality good
5.    Dry time less
6.    Can stay easily for a week with minimal chipping
7.    Easily available
8.    Affordable

Cons-
None for me

Would I re-purchase?
No... I love experimenting with nail paints.

Would I Recommend?
Definitely... It’s a must in your stash...color and qualities both are to die for.

Overall Rating
10/10

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
