BUDGET WEDNESDAYS: Review of FabIndia Wild Rose Perfume Oil

Review of FabIndia Wild Rose Perfume Oil

Guest Post by: Manu

‘A woman who doesn’t wear perfume has no future’ – any guesses made this quote? One of the fashion pioneers, lady behind the revolutionary LBD design, elegant, a style icon! Can we please have a big round of applause for ‘Coco Chanel’! Isn’t it so true that fragrance does mark a difference, at least to me it always does! I was always inclined towards perfumes than deodorizers, may be this is how I was nurtured ;) – all thanks to my mother who is an ardent perfume admirer.  I love natural products in true sense and finding a genuine product was never easy.

With perfumes, it was difficult to get the feel of natural notes and flavor. Arrived the phase, when I was introduced to perfume oils – the miniature bottles giving the feel of an old age era is how I feel it! So, when this time I was lazing around my favorite store (FabIndia), I picked up this pretty bottle in Wild Rose flavor. It also had Cypress and Musk flavor, but the Wild Rose was the strongest and much more attractive. While Cypress had a fresh, lemon type scent, on the other hand musk was very dull and light.

Price of FabIndia Wild Rose Perfume Oil

It costs INR 180/- for 90 ml.
Wild Rose perfume oil is very handy with a strong aromatic fragrance until it settles down. It has a very warm fragrance which stays on for not more than 3 hours – disappointment. The packaging is very convenient and the cute little piece is easy to carry. The ease of usage is perfect since the product comes with a roll on applicator, which also helps in preventing the oil from spilling.

Oooohhsss And Aaaahhhhsss!!!
1. Perfect for Dry skin users (for oily skin go for cypress flavor).
2. Aromatic and sweet smell!
3. Ease of use – roll on applicator, mini bottle can be carried anywhere.
4. Easily available at FabIndia stores and online portals.
5. It is absolutely non-greasy and does not result in any sort of itching or burning sensation. (Though it may vary upon respective skin type)
6. Also available in the form of soap (Wild Rose soap – costs INR 58/-)

1. Fragrance is not long lasting!

Absolutely yes, I don’t mind dabbing it 2-3 times a day.

Would I Recommend?
Definitely yes for all the perfume oil lovers who are fond of rich aromatic smell.

Overall Rating:
8/10  (wish the fragrance could last long)

Did you know?
Oil based perfumes are non-drying to the skin and so are often preferred by those with dry skin. Dry skin has a hard time holding down scent and so the oil base not only moisturizes the skin but assists in helping retain the scent on the skin for longer.

  1. Does it come in lavender variation? Thanx in advance

  2. I really like such perfume oils! I am yet to try this one though

  3. I really like the ylang ylang one :)

  4. Well..this sounds like it smells so good and this one definitely looks worthy a try....what do you say?

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
