BUDGET WEDNESDAYS: Bare Essentials Nail Polish Remover Pads

Review of Bare Essentials Nail Polish Remover Pads

Two things that I hate about changing my nail polish is the drying time and the hassle of removing old nail polish from my nails... Both tasks seem really daunting to me and are so time consuming that many a times I give up and leave my nails bare...
Its so much easier that way but so not pretty :/

So one of these issues has been handled by Maybelline in their Color Show range that dries so quickly that you are amazed that how something so comfortably priced can be so amazing at the same time... However, this post is not about Maybelline Color Show Nail Polishes but about this wonderful product that helps me tackle my other issue...

Ladies and gentlemen please welcome Bare Essentials Nail Polish Remover Pads... In reality these aren't really pads as much as they are thin cotton sheets soaked in some amazing nail polish remover... The nail polish remover that these cotton "pads" are soaked in is oil based and somehow makes removing nail polish a super easy job that can be done anywhere and anytime.

Price of Bare Essentials Nail Remover Pads

They cost INR 130/-

They are extremely portable, travel friendly, one sheet is enough for all 10 fingers (yes even for glitter nail polish) and because it is oil based, it doesn't dry one's nails of fingers...
They don't smell of acetone, rather have a yummy bubblegum-my fragrance.

Availability could be an issue. However all supermarkets and grocery stores in Pune (atleast) stock these in abundance... If this is easily available in your city as well then do mention in the comments section below and let others know :)

  1. Nice review..... Need to try these out

  2. Wow. .love these cos they r travel friendly...

  3. Samyukta that taking-off-nail-polish-nightmare is the only reason why I wear nail polish seldom! Thanks for reviewing this product. & it's so cheap for that quantity & quality! I so need to get one of these & start wearing nail polish regularly lol. :)

  4. I've never tried nail polish remover pads. Should try some.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
