TUTORIAL: Smoked Blue Colossal Eyes Featuring The Maybelline Colossal Range

Tutorial for a Smoked Blue Eye Makeup using Maybelline Colossal Range

A few days ago I had posted pictures of the Maybelline Colossal Range with an EOTD using the Colossal Kohl in Turquoise (a misnomer?)... You can view the post HERE. And I had promised a step-by-step tutorial on the same... So here I am keeping my promise to you all and hoping that you guys find the tute helpful :)
Here's the eye makeup...

The only products that I have used for the look are from the Maybelline Colossal Range and they are:
1. New Maybelline Colossal Kohl - Turquoise
2. Maybelline Colossal Kohl - Black
3. Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara

Tutorial
1. Prep and prime your eye lids and your under eye area.

2. Apply a generously thick line of The Maybelline Colossal Kohl in Turquoise on your upper lash line. Apply another thick line of it on the outer half of your lower lashline.

3. Apply a thin line of The Maybelline Colossal Kohl (Black) over the turquoise line on the outer half of your upper and all along the lower lash lines.

4. Smudge the black kohl with a smudge brush.

5. Finish the look with a couple of coats of mascara and you are good to go!

Wasn't that easy and yet a pretty look, isn't it? :)
Hope you like the look and find the tute helpful... Do let me know through the comments below...

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
