REVIEW: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Moisture Sunscreen with SPF50+ PA+++

Review of Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Moisture Sun Block SPF50+ PA+++

Every one of us has at least one deep, dark secret that they don't want the world to ever know... Of course, you too have one... And yes I too have well not one but many... But today, since I am feeling a little risque, I have decided to divulge one of my best kept secrets... So here goes...

I never wear Sunblock. Well, rather, until now I never wore Sunscreen... Yes that's true... Despite being a beauty blogger for over 3 years, I have always steered away from Sunblock...

Why?

Well, simply because I have always found applying sunblock a little tedious that is after finding one that actually suits my skin... Many of you would agree with me when I say that finding a sunscreen that actually suits one's skin is tougher than finding a foundation to match! I mean, either some turn out to be too oily or while some too drying and worse still, some leave that ghastly whitish cast behind that you keep struggling with to "blend" in your skin...

And so to do away with all these troubles, I have kept away...

Until...

The day I received a Neutrogena PR hamper... Out of the 2 kinds of sunscreens they sent, this Neutrogen Ultra Sheer Complete UV Moisture turned out to be something that I instantly got hooked to... To be honest, I tried this one out first because of it packaging, the Chinese script all over the carton and mostly because I had never ever seen it on any of the drugstore aisles... And boy! Am I glad I tried it :)

Price of Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Moisture Sunscreen

It costs INR 349/-

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Moisture contains SPF50+ and PA+++ that I bet is pretty much enough to combat the harmful UVA and UVB rays... But realistically lets see what I really liked about the product...

Pros of Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen
1. Completely disappears into the skin on application
2. Does not leave a white cast behind
3. Mattifies your face without being too drying. It did feel a little drying initially but then I started layering it over a face serum and all was well again. And since it is mattifying it is a perfect base for your makeup.
4. Does not cause any kinds of pimples or eruptions or reactions
5. Using it since 3 weeks and I detect no tanning
6. Has a sturdy and sleek packaging and hence very convenient to carry in your bag.
7. Has a very subtle, soothing and a faint fragrance that disappears almost immediately after application.

Cons of  Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen
1.  I think its a little pricey for a sunscreen.
2. Availability could be an issue since I have never seen it anywhere

Recommendation:
I am honestly very impressed with this and this is one sunscreen that has converted me from being sunscreen averse... It is a little drying for dry skin but like I mentioned layering it over a facial serum does the trick :)

  2. I am using it right now Suma and it is quite hydrating on me. :) My skin is normal to combi though! Totally agree on all the other aspects. Still like lakme 9 to 5 hydrating super sunscreen better. :P

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

10 Best Loose Powders Available in India

10 Best Loose Powders Available in IndiaISLM Writer: Sanchita

Summer is going to knock on the door soon and we, who are blessed (or cursed) with oily skin, will crawl back to our powders and/or matte foundations to keep the skin oil-free as far as possible. Being oily skinned, I have always found my way back to loose powders even though their packaging is slightly messy. This is because loose or translucent powders are more finely milled than the compact versions and hence gives you an even look rather than a made-up cakey one. Compact has the tendency to look rough under eyes or around the mouth whereas loose powders work excellently. No wonder, oily skin stays matte for longer duration than it does with the compact ones. Mostly, it gives sheer to buildable coverage and sits on the skin like a natural finish look.
