Review of L'Oreal Paris Aqua Essence UV Protector
I have been having trouble sticking to my diet and exercise regimen lately. As much as I love staying in shape, 2014 is proving to be a year of binge eating, random sleep patterns, a lot of overwork and hence almost zero time to hit the gym... As a result, my skin's been acting up, my hair's dried up (yes more!) and well I am gradually coming to terms with the fact that I am actually aging, my skin especially... Its starting out to be a sob story but honestly, I 've been in need of a good cribbing session since a long long time...
Come on! We all have those moments, now don't we! :)
So, like I said I had been lamenting over my skin conditions when I got sent this L'Oreal Aqua Essence UV Protector. Now of course, this is summers we are talking about and there has been a bombardment of sun blocks by PR companies (a little secret, I haven't reviewed the ones that I didn't like or didn't suit me, so take the hint)... So when I received this, I managed to put it on the backbench and forgot all about it... Then a couple of weeks back, while I was getting late for work (as usual!) I realized I was out of my new love Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen and I needed something that would moisturise as well as give me some sun protection and well I reached out for this L'Oreal UV Protector...
The story doesn't end there...
I am not the kinds who touches up her makeup in office washrooms... I am the kinds who rushes in and without even glancing into the mirror rushes into a vacant stall, does her business and then out of the washroom... No I don't even look up and smile at the other lady employees present... Public washrooms make me uncomfortable and I prefer to extend social niceties out in the open rather than in confined washrooms...
So anyways, the point here is that, that day I visited the washroom more times than usual just to see if the glow was still there on my face... And it was! :) Now when I say glow, I don't mean shine or oiliness, what I mean is GLOW that makes you look ethereal and beautiful...
Price of L'Oreal Paris Aqua Essence UV Protector
It costs INR 475/- for 30 mlAfter work, I was still so obsessed the way the product made me look and feel, I went home and read the whole packaging... And I was right! L'Oreal Aqua Essence UV Protector is not your regular sunscreen, rather the terms sunscreen or sunblock is nowhere mentioned on it... It is a UV protector for mature skin that provides protection against signs of photoaging...
What is Photoaging, you ask...
Photoaging is aging of skin due to UVA/UVB exposure and its symptoms include
- pigmentation of the skin
- loss of soft suppleness and the skin turns leathery
- deepening of wrinkles and fine lines
- loss of color and fullness in lips
- appearance of spidery veins on face and neck
The L'Oreal Aqua Essence UV Protector dealswith, fights and prevents signs of photoaging and I feel its a brilliant product. Its water based, so you don't feel oily, however it is surprisingly pretty hydrating and so dry skinned beauties would love it too.
It has SPF30/PA+++, comes in a sleek and sturdy packaging, making it very easy to travel with and finally fragrance wise its very soothing and understated...
Recommendation:
I think if you are perhaps in your twenties, then this is something you should surely try. And even if you have very less exposure to the sun during the day, its always better to be safe than sorry, after all we wouldn't want our skin to age prematurely now, would we? :)
Other Sunscreen Reviews:
Sounds gr8 for summers.. so light in texture.. will try it out :)
ReplyDeleteI have oily skin, and yet, I loved it. It's light and the full protection is such a help! When the temperature was hovering around 42 degrees here, I had to go out right in the noon and yes, there was a lot of sun exposure ( lucky I didn't fall ill again). I was expecting a full tan since I am prone to skin darkening. Bout voila! Nothing! My skin was as it is. But yes, of course, it cannot stop sweat. At that temperature what would you expect?
