Ladies Day Out at the IndiBlogger #DovePlay Meet

How Dove Brought Us Back Together...

Hair they say is a woman's crowning glory... Ummm well ok... If that holds true then I sure am no queen... Heck! I can't even qualify for being a princess or for that matter being in line for the throne... Thus is the state of my hair... No matter what I do or what I use or how I use, I can never make my hair listen to me... I sometimes feel that my hair may just be a guy... You know the typical guy, who wouldn't listen, who wouldn't ask for directions and well who just cannot be tied down into a commitment...

Of course I wasn't really born with this hair... This is a result of me experimenting with it over the years, chemical warfare, heat tortures and malnutrition are just some factors that contribute towards the disloyalty that my hair exhibits towards me... I sometimes feel like a cheating girlfriend who's had her share of fun outside a relationship but is now ready to finally come back and settle down with her guy... The only problem is the guy though stuck with her, just cannot seem to get things back to how they were with her... You know what I mean?

My life's a DRAMA!
And my hair's the protagonist... the DRAMA QUEEN...

So anyways, while I had been getting used to fighting with my hair on a day to day basis, I received an email... Little did I know it would change my life forever...

The email said that IndiBlogger was having this event in association with Dove for Women from all over the country and I was invited to it... Very typically, it was in Mumbai and I being in Pune wasn't very interested to travel to the City of Dreams that particular weekend... Well, I guess that wasn't what God had in store for me and I chanced upon three magical words - DOVE PLAY DATE...

Cutting a really long story short, I was intrigued and I traveled to Mumbai to be a part of what turned out to be this grand event organized for women of all ages... It was an enormous Play Date where I got to catch up with some old blogger friends (Anks, Bhumika, Jyoti, Hina, Ritu, Apurva, Dolon) and some new ones (Nivedita, Shayoni, Daisy)...

What was it all about is what you may want to know and rightly so! It was a party of sorts organized at JW Marriott, Juhu, where we all got together to have some fun... We Zumba-ed all the way, we won amazing prizes, we hoola-Hooped and again won some amazing prizes, we learnt to produce some magical cocktails and yet again won some exciting prizes, we did each other's hair like a grand Pajama Party and won some prizes, we played catch-n-catch like kids and well yes won some prizes and finally we got ourselves pampered in the Dove Hair Salon and obviously got us some more prizes...

It was fun, it was a weekend getaway of sorts and it was something that changed my life...

It changed my life because Dove gave me the assurance that all would be well again... That my relationship with my hair would gradually but surely get better... And then I was given the Dove Intense Repair Shampoo with Keratin Actives, almost like a little parting gift that a mom gives her daughter secretly during her wedding... She doesn't say much but her tearful eyes say it all... They say to the daughter that come what may, she'd be there for her and even during stormy times in her marriage, things would gradually but surely get better...

Dove Intense Repair Shampoo with Keratin Actives is my path to an improved relationship with my guy hair... With the much needed Dove treat my hair seems to be slowly starting to forgive and every other day I get a glimpse of things were before between us... I am hopeful, things are already getting better and I really do feel that we are in together for the long haul... :)

If you too need a boost in your relationship (with your hair of course), you may want to know more about this lifesaver product HERE

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

10 Best Loose Powders Available in India

10 Best Loose Powders Available in IndiaISLM Writer: Sanchita

Summer is going to knock on the door soon and we, who are blessed (or cursed) with oily skin, will crawl back to our powders and/or matte foundations to keep the skin oil-free as far as possible. Being oily skinned, I have always found my way back to loose powders even though their packaging is slightly messy. This is because loose or translucent powders are more finely milled than the compact versions and hence gives you an even look rather than a made-up cakey one. Compact has the tendency to look rough under eyes or around the mouth whereas loose powders work excellently. No wonder, oily skin stays matte for longer duration than it does with the compact ones. Mostly, it gives sheer to buildable coverage and sits on the skin like a natural finish look.
