REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Aqua Essence UV Protector

Review of L'Oreal Paris Aqua Essence UV Protector
I have been having trouble sticking to my diet and exercise regimen lately. As much as I love staying in shape, 2014 is proving to be a year of binge eating, random sleep patterns, a lot of overwork and hence almost zero time to hit the gym... As a result, my skin's been acting up, my hair's dried up (yes more!) and well I am gradually coming to terms with the fact that I am actually aging, my skin especially... Its starting out to be a sob story but honestly, I 've been in need of a good cribbing session since a long long time...

Come on! We all have those moments, now don't we! :)

Makeup for Work need not always be dull, drab or boring... And no I am not asking you to get out of your comfort zones and experiment with Reds and Fuschias at your (if conservative) workplace. And I have a video tutorial for it, for you guys :)

REVIEW: L’Oreal Super Liner Gelmatic Pen in Glamour Gold

Review of L’Oreal Super Liner Gelmatic Pen in Glamour Gold
Guest Post By: Priyanka

Hey there!
I think it’s safe to say that most Indian girls started their foray into eye makeup with kajal, went on to pen style eyeliners and thereby graduated to liquid liners once they craved the crisp smoothness that they offer.
Kids these days have an option of using gel liners to garner that crisp line but sometimes the whole brush drama might just be a bit too cumbersome, which is where the retractable design of L’Oreal Gelmatic Eyeliner will come in handy.

BUDGET WEDNESDAYS: Johnsons Baby Skincare Wipes

Review of Johnsons Baby Skincare Wipes as a Makeup Remover
I love blogger events where I get to meet with and learn from other beauty bloggers. There's always something to learn, some tricks, some tips and sometimes about unique products. One such learning was from Jyoti of Everything That Matters, with whom I traveled and shared a room in Mumbai during the Indiblogger #DovePlay meet...

Ladies Day Out at the IndiBlogger #DovePlay Meet

How Dove Brought Us Back Together...
Hair they say is a woman's crowning glory... Ummm well ok... If that holds true then I sure am no queen... Heck! I can't even qualify for being a princess or for that matter being in line for the throne... Thus is the state of my hair... No matter what I do or what I use or how I use, I can never make my hair listen to me... I sometimes feel that my hair may just be a guy... You know the typical guy, who wouldn't listen, who wouldn't ask for directions and well who just cannot be tied down into a commitment...

REVIEW: Za True White Day Cream from The House of Shiseido

Review of Za True White Day Cream from The House of Shiseido
The Indian market perhaps the Asian market is abuzz with loads of whitening products and honestly I give a shit about fairness or whitening products but when you get back to work and see PR samples sitting on your testing table (yup the pati knows to keep my PR boxes on my testing table only) you have no choice but to sample the wares. I generally give reviewing these "whitening" products a miss but I have honestly read so much about Za that my curiosity got the better of me...

So I read the product carton back to back and top to bottom and you will be surprised at what I discovered...

REVIEW: Maybelline Colorshow Crayon Khol in Violet

Review of Maybelline Colorshow Crayon Khol in Violet
Since my childhood I was never a very artistic kid. I mean generally children supposedly love to draw and color and stuff but I never enjoyed it and even though my parents tried to get me into the "groove" I never relented. Imagine the frustration they had especially since one of them is a fabulous oil painter and the other is into creating some out of this world sketches... And so finally they gave up on me...

REVIEW: L'Oreal Super Liner Gelmatic Pen in Blue Force

Review of L’Oreal Super Liner Gelmatic Pen in Blue Force
Guest Post By: Priyanka
Hey there!
Like any other makeup enthusiast, I know that gel liners are the new muses of the makeup world. The budge proof water resistant formula with amazing longevity makes it the perfect pick for fashionistas everywhere. But the problem with regular gel liners is that they come in pots which need to be used with brushes and all that jazz. Finding the brush, using it and then cleaning up isn’t exactly the most time efficient thing for most time strapped mornings.

BUDGET WEDNESDAYS: Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balms

Reviewing Maybelline Baby Lips on Budget Wednesdays
A girl cannot have enough shoes, they say... You need ballet flats and cute wedges and pretty kitten heels and some hot stilettos and hippy flip flops and well some ballet flats and some more of those cute wedges and well the cycle continues... Doesn't it? :) The same goes with lip balms for me... I need some cocoa flavored ones and some vanilla flavored ones, then throw in a couple of fruity flavours, top it off with some minty ones and then again I want some of those cocoa butter ones...

Oh come on! A girl's gotta do what she's gotta do ;)

NOTD: Maybelline Colorshow Nail Polish in Fiesty Fuschia

Maybelline Colorshow Nail Polish in Fiesty Fuschia on my Nails!
Isn't it always so much fun to experiment with colors, to lose yourself in the rainbow of shades that we can see, to fancy any hue that is possible to create? Red on the lips, purple on the nails, Orange on your cheeks, Teal on your eyes, am sure most of you have done it all...

This brings me to the discussion about Nail Polishes and how nail paint shades have evolved over the years and through the generations. I distinctly remember my mum having a limited set of shades, mostly maroons, purples and chocolate browns. A little variation here and there and that's about the color palette that women, 3 decades ago were content with...

REVIEW: Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup Foundation

Review of Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup Foundation

So today I’ll be reviewing my favourite drugstore foundation. Revlon Colorstay Whipped Crème Foundation has been there for a while. I’ve been wearing this daily since last 4 months. I have oily skin and having to find a good drugstore branded foundation has always been a difficult task for me. So when I bought it, I was a little apprehensive but it surprised me and surpassed all my expectations.

Summer Favorite Pink & Coral Lipsticks

Pink Lipsticks for Summers
I think, I nowadays, start almost all my posts with "Summers are here" and even though this particular post was destined to start in a similar tone, I decided to deliberately steer clear of the jaded phrase and say something different and so I restart my post...

Summers make me subconsciously reach out to pink and coral lipsticks and so I decided to make a post out of it and list out my favorite Pink & Coral lipsticks this Summer :)
And you know what would be a little more fun? You guys telling me about your favorites too... I'd love to know :)

REVIEW: Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Make Me Pink

Review of Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Make Me Pink
Guest Post By: Priyanka

Have you seen Nicki Minaj’s signature lip colour? The bright mauve lavender that is quirky yet flattering for her skin tone. While it is a very pretty shade it certainly isn’t suitable for a whole lot of skin tones.
The lipstick I am now going to review is something similar and was a gift from my evidently colour blind brother. :p

REVIEW: Kryolan Blush in TC1

Review of Kryolan Blush in TC1

Guest Post By: Pranali

After hearing so much about Kryolan, I wanted to try their products. So I picked up a blush, craving for an orange Blush. And after possessing this one, I want to own them all.
There are so many colors ranging from Pale Pinks to Coral Pinks and Deep Red, for varied skin tones.

I tried two blushes at the store on each cheeks and stepped out. This Blush looked so natural in sunlight, and it added a warm glow to my cheeks.
There are so many things, I love about this blush. And I’ll reveal them all in The Goods.

LOTD: Coastal Scents Eyeshadows and MAC Ruby Woo

Every now and then rather once in a while when I clean up my dresser, I come across lost and forgotten makeup that still have some life in them before they reach their expiry and the product that I invariably always forget only to be reminded of, during such tasks is the Coastal Scents 88 Original Palette... It was my first "proper" eye shadow palette that almost all beauty bloggers at that time talked about and so I must say the day it arrived was quite a Red Letter day in my life...

REVIEW: ZA True White Night Cream from The House of Shiseido

Review of ZA (From the house of Shiseido) True White Night Cream
Guest Post By: Priyanka
This is my first blog post for ISLM and I sure hope that I am associated with this wonderfully vibrant blog for a very long time! The brand Za is the latest offering from The House of Shisedo in the Indian market. Shisedo is known for its high end skin care solutions while Za is its popular Asian subsidiary. While its launch in the Indian market hasn’t exactly made a huge splash, it is being eyed carefully by its drugstore counterparts.

Review: Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick in Rosy Sunday

Review of Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick in Rosy Sunday
Guest Post by: Mrittika
After coming across this shade on a beauty blog, I nearly searched all possible Lakme counters at malls as well as small stores, but none of them had it. I had to book this shade and left my number with the SA to inform me whenever stock comes in. Well, that’s how I got it.
