REVIEW: Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream

Review of Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream

Guest Post By Pranali

Back in February I was eyeing this CC cream on Asos, but something stopped me from ordering it. And it was launched in India already. I was still unsure with 3-4 bottles of Base makeup lying around. I gave in. Temptation!
I tried no 33 Beige Rose on one cheek and 34 Bronze on the other. It was totally dark for me. But no 33 disappeared on application. Using religiously for 7 days in sun and indoors, I’m ready with my deep thoughts on it.

CC cream refers to Color correction, three pigments that correct the Fatigue, Redness and Dark spots. Bourjois also claims for 24 hours hydration, Smooth skin and luminous complexion with SPF 15.
The Texture is light but runny and feels feathery soft and looks flawless too. The finish is Matte looking skin and controlled oil on Tzone.

The best part about this CC cream is it blends within 30 seconds and absorbs within the skin like a hydrator and looks Natural. The First time I used it, it looked a bit patchy on the dry areas around nose and blemishes that were healing. But the patchy areas vanished after an hour or so. And my nose was shiny after 3 hours.

I used it under Moisturizer and Primer as well as Sun block. It worked best with Face Primer as it didn’t made my nose or T zone shiny. It mattifies Oily skin for sure and you can skip powdering your T zone if you have normal-dry skin.

The packaging is a nozzle tube which often pumps more product than needed as the texture is runny for a cream. Turning to coverage, it is light to medium coverage and definitely not for those who prefer medium to heavy coverage. You can apply foundation over it for more coverage or a concealer. I think mixing foundation in it might turn out bad, I do not prefer mixing two different textures.

Price of Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream:

INR 710/- for 30ml

The Pros of Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream:
1) Light Texture and blends effortlessly .
2) Color Pigments does evens out skintone.
3) Mattifies. A summer saviour for Oily skinned beauties.
4) Travel Friendly packaging.
5) It does smoothen out skin, hydrates and adds luminous glow even with matte finish.
6) Oil-free & Dermatologically tested.
7) Stays on for 6-7 hours with primer underneath.
8) Base makeup generally fades around the oily areas and makes the appearance uneven. But it stays adhered to the skin.
9) Pea sized amount is needed to cover the face.
10) It can be used under Foundation, as corrector. The application doesn’t get messy.

The Cons of Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream:
1) 24 Hours hydration is definitely a false claim.
2) Pricey for a CC cream.
3) Shades are very limited, bronze skin beauties have just one shade to lay their hands on.
4) SPF 15 might sound less for extreme sun during Indian summer.

Recommendation:
Bourjois CC cream is definitely a saviour for summer, as it mattifies and gives an light coverage. It is Foundation, Color corrector and Powder in one product. You’ve to give it a try at counter to know it yourself.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…
