Affordable yet Must Have Eye Makeup Brushes

Kryolan Eye Makeup Brushes - Affordable and a Must Have!

I had a weird dream last night... I dreamt that I was sipping a steaming cup of cappuccino, was debating with myself about what was the best way to achieve Continuous Delivery in a release cycle and just kept crying at the same time... Weird? Right! Creepy? Damned right! Disturbing? Hell yeah!
No the dream didn't have a dramatic ending, like me waking up with a scream or me starting to blabber in my sleep and the pati having to shake me up... The dream died its natural death and I continued to sleep... Only in the morning when I remembered the dream did I feel that something was amiss with me.

Needless to say, I was disturbed to the core... And realised that I was letting work take over my life completely... That's not healthy! That's not what I want from my life! That's not how I want to go on living... And so it proved to be like an intervention of sorts for me and here I am telling you all about it and sharing with you all the promise I made to myself about maintaining a life in my life...

And so today morning, instead fo rushing off to work, I took some time to make some yummy muskmelon smoothie for the pati, his bro and me for breakfast, then watered my plants, then clicked pictures of my current favorite eye makeup brushes and finally took a long, leisurely bath before I dashed off to office... Of course I was super late but it was all worth it :)

So, today's post is about how makeup brushes need not be super expensive and how affordable options can also serve you really well :) My current favorites are these Eye Makeup Brushes from Kryolan that are super amazing at what they do and are all within a budget INR 200/-! Isn't that just great?

Kryolan Professional Eye Contour Brush Art. 3507

Price: INR 200/-

These brushes are all very soft yet stiff enough to give you enough control. The Contour Brush 3507 is especially something that is so excellent that if you have not been using it still, then you are truly missing out on something very precious!
The bristles of this brush are long and narrow is just perfect for eye contouring (as the name suggests) and is great for achieving a cut crease look... I also use this brush to highlight my brow bone area!

Kryolan Professional Blending Brush Art 3511

Price: INR 135/-

This brush is a fluffy blending brush but with short bristles. It is actually something between a smudger brush and a blending brush. It is perfect for smudging a cream eye shadow or a kohl for that soft smokey look. I generally use it at the outer corners of my eyes to smudge my kohl for an effortlessly smoldering look.

Kryolan Berlin Eye Liner Brush Art 3706

Price: INR 85/-

This is one brush that I use almost daily. It is the perfect gel liner brush and really really gives you a precise stroke! Priced at INR 85/- you really to pack a dozen of them, the next time you are at the Kryolan store!

Hope you found this post of mine helpful and do share your favorite makeup brushes that are cheaper than the usual MAC or even Sigma! :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
