Review of Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lipstick in Red Carpet
For the past couple of weeks, the pati and I have been alternating between coding, attending weddings and co-ordinating with weavers. We even ended up making a trip each to Bombay for a friend's wedding and to Kolhapur to give our weavers a clear idea about what we exactly want. So when yesterday after we finished shooting for our first lot of sarees (there are 2 more in the pipeline), the pati and I decided to catch the last show of "Wolf of the Wallstreet"... So the Saturday ended on a happy note and Sunday promises to be better still :)
So yesterday while going through the sarees that we received in the first lot, I suddenly had the urge to do a red lipstick and a red bindi sort of a look and since I have been over using MAC Ruby Woo, I decided to go with Bobbi Brown's Creamy Matte Lipstick in Red Carpet. Now if you remember me telling you about my Delhi haul, this Bobbi Brown lippy was a part of it and its review has been pending since then.
Moving ahead, these Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte lipsticks have a texture to die for. They are creamy, really light weight and simply gloss over your lips without settling into the fine lines... But then they simply do not look matte :/ I mean I am this sucker red, matte lips and this just doesn't do it for me. It kinda reminded me of those Maybelline Bold Matte Lipsticks, so wonderfully creamy and glossy that they don't seem matte anymore.

Packaging wise Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte lipsticks are really classy to look at and even the lipstick bullet is sturdy and does not melt or break. Well it better not for the price we have to pay for them!
Price of Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lipsticks in IndiaThey cost INR 1390/-
Shade wise Red Carpet is a stunner, however because of its glossy finish I kinda avoid it in real life...
So, the next time I am in Delhi, I know to pick prettier pinks and nudes from this range...
In all, I loved the range of these lipsticks especially where the texture is concerned, however I know to stay away from the Reds...
