Mini Review & Lip Swatches: Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids Lipstick in Vivid Rose

Maybelline Colorsesnational Vivids Lipstick in Vivid Rose

Lipsticks are something that I currently cannot have enough of... Red lipsticks in particular and pink lippies come a close second. So when my bestie let me know that she was going to the US for official work, yet again (some women are just born lucky!), I jumped at the opportunity and gave her my extensive list of products that I wanted! One of them was this gorgeous beauty from Maybelline's Colorsensational Vivids range...

Maybelline Colorsesnational Vivids range was something that skipped India and I know many of us here were pretty miffed with it... Such vividly gorgeous shades, Maybelline comes up with and they decide to ignore India? Really? Hmmmpphhh... But not to be left out in the cold, I decided to try out the shade Vivid Rose and added it to my list of US return products...

The day the bestie came back and handed over to me my kitty of products, the first thing I did was I unwrapped the lipstick and checked out the shade. Oh My My! Such a vivid pink, the lipstick was that I was smitten... But the over the days of trying the lippy out, I realised that it wasn't really a practical sort of a color. I mean the pink looked pretty garish and well it wasn't something that I was comfortable carrying... Now that's huge cause I am pretty shameless where bright lipsticks are concerned...

However, the "neony" effect and the way the shade makes me look all sultry and tanned is something that I am totally in love with and don't be surprised if I use this particular shade innumerable times on Instagram :P

Texture wise, this range of lipsticks is same as the Maybelline Colorsensational range, is highly pigmented and has a great staying power. It is easy on the pocket and looks pretty on the dresser...

I do plan on ordering for more shades from this range the next time someone is coming from the States...

The earrings that I am wearing in the pictures above are from Handlooms Of India

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
