Missing Deadlines, Going Off Schedules, Delhi, In-Laws, Makeup Hauls & Shopping for HOI

Delhi Haul

The past one week has been one crazy vacation with so much packed into an airtight schedule that it felt as if life just passed me in a big, huge blur... Now that I am back home, to my city, to my sunny little apartment, I can now relax, sit on my bedroom's wooden floor with a mug of coffee (I need to switch back to Green Tea ASAP!), gaze at the verdant green hills just a few 100 metres away and savor every moment of my North India trip in retrospect...

From motichoor laddoos to Diwali diyas to late night gossip sessions to Bobbi Brown (and Sephora) to meeting Bharti to a road trip to Punjab to aam papads to scouring local handicraft industries and loads and loads of relatives, my diwali holiday was a melting point of experiences, learnings, fun and a little bit of business!

Instead of boring you guys with every little tiny detail, I'll gloss over the minutes and glorify the more interesting stuff :)

Bobbi Brown & Sephora (and a little bit of Colorbar)!

Visiting Select Citywalk for Bobbi Brown and Sephora was the only planned event in the entire trip and come what may I was so not going to miss splurging and blowing almost half my Diwali bonus on makeup! Not that I could buy lots, especially with the sky high prices of Sephora products (stuff's cheaper on the international Sephora websites) and Bobbi Brown... However, I did manage to get some stuff that I totally did not need... But then what the heck! It's Delhi just once a year for me!

So here's what I got myself...
1. Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation With SPF 15. I matched the shade 4.5 and it really really felt like I was not wearing any makeup at all! :)
2. Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Color in a secret shade... Any guesses?
3. Benefit They're Real Mascara
4. Sephora Mango Flavoured Moisturising Body Lotion
5. Stila Smudge Pot Cream Eye Liner in Brown
6. Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lip Crayon In Mysterious Nude
7. Colorbar Radiant Glow (Eclat Lumiere) Highlighter Pen (A rip off of YSL Touche Eclat?)

Of course I have started using *all* of these products and I shall soon be able to present you all with some product reviews :)
If you would want me to review something in particular first, then do mention them in the comments below :)

Love you guys :*

  1. Awesome haul Sam :) would love to know your take on Colorbar Radiant Glow highlighter...and comparison between YSL :)

    1. I have the same demand.
Also what is the price of stila pot?

    2. Ya same here would love to know how the colorbar one compares to the YSL one.

  2. Lovely haul dear.. the Sephora lotion and the Bobbi Brown stuff looks awesum!! waiting waiting for ur reviewss. :)

  3. awesome! isn;t the highlighter pen just awesome!! what lip colour did you buy now....? red ;P

  4. Absolutely love the haul.I would like to see the Stila pot review first.By the way can you suggest a neat and clean hair styling salon in Pune .Its ok even if it is a little expensive.Thanks.

  5. Im just happy to have u back here :)

  6. Lovely haul dear ! Waiting for reviews :)

  7. lovely haul!! n noo the colorbar highlighting pen is just that- a highlighting pen, no tint to it!! pure champagne shade!! so no, it's not a rip off! what is a rip off however, is maybelline's concealing+highlighting pen coz touche eclat from ysl is a concealer+highlighter as opposed to colorbar's which is a liquid highlighter only. :)

  8. lovely haul!! long ago like some 10 years ago i've used sephora's lavendar lotion and it was truly amazing!!
and coming to colorbar's radiant highlighting pen- it's simply a liquid highlighter. it's not a copy of touche eclat from ysl as it's a concealer + highlighter like garnier's tinted eye roll on and maybelline's lumiere highlighting concealer! while this colorbar is simply a highlighting liquid as it claims to be! n it's one of my fave highlighters apart from benefit's watt's up. :)

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :) Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;) Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener  Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work... Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit... Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.      Faded Denim Jacket: Westside Floral Dress: Marks & Spencer Red Shoes: Zara Black Bucket Bag: Zara
