Review of L'Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss in Pomegranate Punch

It's 2:45 am right now. I have a bed light on next to me that is radiating that warm, fuzzy yellow light that makes you feel all cozy and snuggly, have a box of Walnut Choco fudge next to me (of the Lonavla fame) and have my ear phones plugged tightly and listening to Avicii belting out their magic (3 cheers for EDM!)... Yup I am an insomniac and I am so not getting sleep right now... So I took upon myself to review this fabulous product that I have been thinking of reviewing since almost a week now...

The product in question ladies and gentlemen is L'Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss in Pomegranate Punch that is this gorgeous shade of a yummy pink with some pretty obvious silver (chunky?) shimmer... Nope not the kinds that are frosted but the kinds where you have a pretty creamy shade going and it has had a tiny drizzle of silver shimmer bestowed upon it. If you know what I mean...

I wont lie, I am not a chubby pencil fan. I don't own any of those by Clinique, have only one of those Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Smitten (review HERE) and only two of those Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lip Crayons (review HERE & HERE) and that ends my stint with chubby pencils... I have pigmented lips you see and these balm stains and glossy stains don't really give me full coverage.

However, since I received this one by L'Oreal as a part of a PR package, I had no choice but to try it out and have I been hooked or what! I swear it has some great pigmentaion, stays on for an eternity and has no smell or flavour! :D

3. Stays on for pretty long
4. Comes in a variety of shades
5. So so so easy on the pocket
6. It feels really light on the lips
7. It is not drying at all.

Ouches!!!
1. It might get blunt after a few uses and then there is no way of sharpening it again!

Overall Rating:
9/10

Recommendation
If you are looking for a nice, flattering shade of pink and something that is within budget (comfortable so), then you must give this a shot!

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
