REVIEW: Sleek Makeup True Matte Lipstick in HeartBreaker

Review of Sleek True Matte Lipstick in HeartBreaker

Guest Post By: Pranali

I wanted to try True Color Lipstick since they are most raved about other than palettes. I was confused between Candycane and Heartbreaker, I went with Heartbreaker ;)
And I am in love with Brighties ☺
Sleek True Color Lipstick Heartbreaker is a Bright Pink with slight coral undertone. The Finish is matte and is insanely pigmented. But one thing that bothers me is the texture, uneven application if applied on un-prepped lips. The finish and texture does not provide an even finish on chapped lips.
It also tends to settle into the fines lines. But if topped with lip gloss, it tends to even out.
If wore without any lip balm underneath makes it too tough to remove it even with a makeup remover, such is the pigmentation. But if Lips are well hydrated by dabbing a salve or balm, the tint comes off easily with makeup remover or baby oil.

The staying power is better with 5-6 hours and it does leave heavy tint behind, as good as lipstick.
The Color looks Neon in Sunlight, very vivid. I dab it on my lips during day and glide on generously in the evening. So if Neon is not your thing, keep the grip loose.
I think the color will look flattering on Fair to Wheatish skinned beauties.

The packaging is classy, velvety black case and the bullet is thick as well. I thought it as a ‘dwarf lipstick’ when I first saw it.

Price of Sleek Makeup True Matte Lipstick

They cost $6.99/-

All the Good about Sleek True Color Lipstick Heartbreaker:

1) Matte Finish with insane pigmentation and staying power.
2) Covers Pigmentation decently.
3) Appears Brighter than bright in sunlight.
4) Fragrance is negligible to me, though is a bit chalk like.
5) Doubles up as Lip tint and lipstick.
6) Zero Transfer, and will survive heavy meals as well.
7) Quality wise Inexpensive.

The Bad:

1) The texture can be drying for some.
2) Availability. Only through their website.
3) Application on chapped lips can look horrendous.
4) Tends to settle in  fine lines

Definitely. If only I finish this one.

If you love Pinks, Neons, Mattes and Bright colors definitely I will recommend this. This is said to be close match to MAC Party Parrot. And it definitely will break Hearts. </3

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…
