REVIEW: Sleek Makeup I-Divine Au Naturel Eyeshadow Palette

Review Of Sleek Makeup I-Divine Au Naturel Eyeshadow Palette Review

Guest Post By: Pranali

Sleek I-divine mineral based palettes are raved much on the blogging platform. There are Brights, Mattes, Vivid and Shimmery colors. Each eyeshadow has its own interesting texture, you will know while I describe each color. Sleek I-divine Au Naturel is a combination of Matte and Shimmery eyeshadows, mostly neutral or nude. There are 8 Matte and 4 Shimmer eyeshadows. The colors are appropriate for Day, Work and for everyday looks.
The packaging indeed is sleek, black palette with a mirror and sponge applicator. The palette is not really pocket friendly and might break, damaging the eyeshadows. The Pigmentation is amazing, and will even work without eyeshadow base. For me, the pigmentation does not creases for 5-6 hours with a proper base underneath.

Each Color is unique and has different pigmentation and texture. I will try and describe each one.

Nougat is creamy matte white color, which is a bit chalky but can act as wonderful base color.
Nubuck is a Greyish Brown, with matte satin texture.
Cappuccino  perfectly resembles Cappuccino’s froth. A Palest matte shade of coffee with a slight yellow tone to it.
Honeycomb is a pale orange-yellow color, pigmented and matte with satin like texture.
Toast is a warm peach color, the color adds a distinct sheen and is moderately pigmented.
Taupe is a bright Silver-peach shade with soft gold shimmer. A shimmery satin texture which works as a highlighter as well.
Conker a deep Bronze color, which reminds me of ‘metallics’. A wonderful shimmery texture, and blends effortlessly.
Moss is a dull golden shade and has a hint of brown to it. It could be the shimmer eyeshadow for Day. That sort of dull shimmer which doesn’t look too loud.
Bark a wonderful brown with little powdery texture that tends to fall out a bit. Pigmentation is insane but looks muddy if over blended.
Mineral Earth is a party shade. A brown with bronze shimmer, the texture is satin and blends effortlessly.
Regal is Aubergine Brown, insanely pigmented and little powdery.
Noir is Black, pigmented and a little hard to touch. I can feel the texture, like finely milled coal.

Here are the swatches and an Smokey EOTD. I have used Moss, Mineral Earth and Noir.

The Palette is a must have for everyday looks, for work and if you love neutral colors. The colors vary in texture and tones making it easy to mix and match them. And last word is Insanely Pigmented.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
