REVIEW: MUA Power Pout in Irreplaceable

Review of MUA Power Pout In Irreplaceable

Guest Review By: Shabby

Few things in life can never be replaced with anything, like the first Kiss, the love and care of parents and the first Love. No matter how hard we try nothing can replace the charm. Today we talk about MUA’s Power pout in shade Irreplaceable. While the shade says it’s Irreplaceable, let’s find out if it can really be an irreplaceable part of your vanity.

My take on MUA power Pout Irreplaceable

These Power Pouts are MUA’s take on the popular trend of Crayon Lip Balms and is closely similar to Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stains. The Packaging is of color coded plastic with a plastic lid of the same color. The end is metal and can be used to twist up the product.

The consistency of these lip balm come stains are smooth and they feel light on the lips. The color here is a bright pink which is cool toned. The shade is suitable for day as well as night time wear. The finish of these are sheer yet they can be layered to get a better color. The shade does hide minor pigmentation but may be unable to cover major pigmentation. The balm feels glossy on the lips and leaves a slight hint of color to the lips while it fades. The staying power of these are decent with up to 4-5 hours.

These survive small meals but the glossy feel wears off in an hour or so.

Price of MUA Power Pouts

These are available online for 3GBP each and are available in six shades.

So moving on to the pros and Cons:

  1. Lip Balm and Stain Packed into One
  2. Easy to travel with packaging
  3. Color coded packaging easy to locate among many
  4. Easy to glide on lips
  5. Does not dry lips
  6. Provides a glossy feel to the lips
  7. Gives the appearance of fuller lips
  8. Stays for a good amount of time
  9. Shade is a bright pink, perfect for day as well as night wear

  1. Glossy feel vanishes within an hour
  2. May not cover major pigmentation
  3. Does not hydrate lips
  4. The product is extremely soft so needs to be kept in low temperature.

The Last Word:
While these are available online in India too I suggest you get hold of them through their original site. They are super affordable and offer great quality.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
