A Must Have MAC Eyeshadow - MAC Cork

Multitasking Makes MAC Cork A Must Have Eyeshadow For Indian Skintones

If you have been in the beauty blogging business for a little while, chances are that you would have by now received a query from your readers about must have MAC eyeshadows for Indian skintone, at least once. And it is one question that today after 3 years of bblogging, still leaves me sweating cause honestly what I deem as necessary may not really be a must-have for someone else. Best is to leave such queries open to be answered by other readers, so that everyone can put in their 2 cents and the person asking the query gets to have an opinion of many... This I am sure helps her pick out products more easily :)

However, there is one exception to the rule. There is afterall one MAC eyeshadow that I feel is an absolute necessity in every Indian beauty's vanity case and that ladies and gentlemen in MAC Cork. Now MAC Cork isn't really a very gorgeous shade and neither does it fall into the magically, unique category where shades are concerned. It is still an absolute must-have because of its multitasking capabilities.

Yes! You heard me right! MAC Cork is perfect not only as a neutral eyeshadow but also as a lowlight powder used for contouring! Yes yes yes! It's great for contouring and yes I have just realised its capability as a lowlighter and after trying out the trick on myself for a couple of times, I thought about sharing it with you :)

Look at the pictures and decide for yourself...

Price of MAC Cork Eyeshadow

It costs INR 720/- for a refill and INR 900/- for a pan

The Last Words...
When I wore it as a lowlighter a couple of nights back, the pati remarks "babe I think you have lost a lot of weight!"... I know I am 1 kg overweight right now and I reply "thank you babbbyyyy but nope it is makeup"... He looks at me incredulously, makes me turn sideways, then faces me, shakes his head and says "You have definitely lost weight, your chubbiness has disappeared!"....
So ladies and gentlemen, here it is, out in the open, MAC Cork contours and still makes you look all natural ;)

Try it out!

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
