REVIEW: OPI Nail Paint in Alpine Snow

OPI Nail Lacquer in Alpine Snow

Review of OPI Nail Paint in Alpine Snow

Guest Post By: Rmyah

I love snow. Who doesn’t?? The dreamy white snowflakes, as of course shown on TV, the pristine white of fresh snowfall. And as soon as I pick up this bottle of OPI Alpine Snow, I am reminded of Kufri and its beautiful snow.

Snow in a bottle is what OPI Alpine Snow is all about. Immaculate white in a classy black packaging.

What OPI claims:
The little bottle of nail paint gives you true color – what you see on the bottle is what you get on your nails. It’s also long - lasting, chip free, streak free and is gentle on the nails.

My take on OPI Nail Points

OPI Alpine Snow is truly a pure white color which shows up on the nails thick and opaque with just one coat. But a few of nails don’t behave. I always have to apply a second coat just to make them look better. Non streaky, I don’t think so. Does streak. But then it happens with every nail paint I ever owned. My nails don’t like nail paints :D it’s a nail pain for them. But then the color intensity by the second coat. Oooh la laahh. Don’t the nails look just fabulous.

Price of OPI Nail Paint:

Rs. 520/-

Staying Power:
I have revised my opinion about the staying power of OPI nail paints. My earlier experience went as far to compare it poorly against even the chinese nail paints. But this one showed me how wrong I was. Alpine Snow lasted like forever on me. Well really it was five days until my nails started to grow out.

The Ooohs:
Full Intensity with just one coat. Me Likey.
Smooth application, the brush is perfectly designed.
Staying power. Five days, no top coat, and then too just because my nails grew out. Come on…!!!

The Blehhs:
Five hundred for a nail paint…I think I just got a heart attack.

Overall recommendation:
White nails, or French nails, or a base for a cool nail art. Alpine Snow is a must have for all.

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :) Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;) Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal

Good Health: My Slimming Diet and Exercise Regimen

I was planning on starting this post with a quote on health and all that jazz but then I realized you are here reading this post not cause you want to see my writing style but are here cause you actually want to read the contents :) So I will start without much intro but a little disclaimer before that ;) Disclaimer I am not a doctor or a nutritionist or even a dietitian. I have found out from experience what works for me and I am sharing it with you guys. You are to find out what is right for you and make your own permutations and combination to this regimen of mine depending on your target weight, your lifestyle and all :) Before I start there are a couple of points we need to keep in mind: 1. In order to lose weight one needs to burn more calories than you take in. 2. The human body takes about only 1200 calories to do the routine functions of respiration, digestion etc. 3. Just because you are not taking 3 full meals a day does not mean that you are starving yourself or ar

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener  Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work... Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!
