REVIEW: Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush in Creamy Cinnamon

Review of Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush in Creamy Cinnamon

Just when I thought I had "mastered" neutral and natural looking makeup and I had all products that I would ever need to execute the perfect natural makeup, Maybelline comes along and treats us to these delightfully cute looking Cheeky Blushes... Of course it comes in a plethora of shades but the one that I could get my hands on is this gorgeous shade called Creamy Cinnamon...

Let's get to know this shade a little better :)

Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blushes are these new blushes on the block that come in extremely cute looking packaging. They have a dome shade, are powder blushes and have a very fine and a soft texture. They blend easily and hence are extremely easy to work with.

Texture-wise Maybelline Cheeky Blushes are very soft milled and can be easily built-up. Hence they are extremely suitable for those who are just venturing out into the world of blushes. The shades are so gorgeous, making you look gorgeous without having to fear about OTT and are so easy to work with that you just cannot go wrong with Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blushes.

Creamy Cinnamon is a peachy-brown shade that gives an extremely natural looking flush to one's face. Pigmentation wise it is a little lacking. However, it can easily be built up and hence you can easily control the amount of "flush" you actually need. I love using this blush when the lighting isn't adequate or when I am not sure of the shade of blush that would go with my lippy, as it is extremely easy to work with this and one can seldom go wrong with it.

Price of Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blushes

They cost INR 250/- for 7gms of product

The price of Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blushes is another attractive feature and honestly, its awesome for the quality of product.

Here are the swatches to give you a fair idea of the shade.

While I was swatching the product, it looked like the texture would be a little chalky and the shade might not suit dusky skintones. However, I was proved wrong in both accounts, texture wise it is really smooth and soft and shade wise it is quite a universally flattering shade.

Oooohhhhsss And Aaaahhhsss
1. Smooth and soft texture.
2. Easily blendable
3. Easily buildable
4. Gives a natural flush to the face
5. Extremely easy on thepocket
6. Very easy to work with and hence is great for beginners and pros alike.
7. Easily available at all Maybelline counters.

Ouches!!!
1. Contains parabens.

Repurchase?
I am definitely buying other shades from this range.

Recommendation:
If you are looking for an everyday blush that is easy to work with, looks natural, adds a subtle natural looking flush and is easy on the pockets, then Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush is the pne for you!

Overall Rating:
9/10

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

10 Sexist Remarks We Women Tend To Ignore (But Shouldn't!)
This post has been long due...

Every now and then I come across a sexist remark, sometimes intentional, sometimes not and it makes want to write about it... But life happens, I push the remark to the back burner just the way we are conditioned to in order to prevent a confrontation or more likely to "free" our minds for more "important" things and hence the "writing" never happens...
