ISLM Rants: Which Has Been Your Favorite Fashion/Beauty Magazine in 2013?

Which Fashion/Beauty Magazine Is Your Poison In 2013?

Just when I have like a plethora of LOTDs and EOTD tutorials lined, I get the urge to not do an LOTD post but just rant away to glory... Of course I blame it on Friday, pumping me with unusual bursts of energy that wants me to go on chattering at the top of my voice at breakneck speed... Or could it be the lack of caffeine cause I am trying my best to reduce my coffee intake to 3 cups... Ummm yeah that's the reduced number... Or again it could be due to the excitement of having my birthday just around (not that I have huge plans) or simply still I feel totally high on life (a secret project is underway, ssshhhhh!)...

Whatever the reason, today morning saw me browsing through Vogue and Grazia while sipping Green Tea and making small talk with the pati... On normal days, I am generally hurrying through writing a post and making sure the pictures of the LOTDs look as appealing in daylight as they did the night before...

And while I was browsing through the glossy pages of Haute Couture and Beauty Picks recommended by people ranging from having celeb status (read Dia Mirza, Charlize Theron) to random and often times without reason, a cult status (read Kim Kardashian), a thought struck! I wanted myself to make a decision and choose my most favorite Fashion/Beauty magazine of the lot!

It was tough...

It was nerve-wracking and it was grossly unfair but I came out with the verdict... My favorite fashion magazine at least in 2013 has been Vogue India...

What about you? What is your all time favorite fashion magazine? Or at least has been in 2013? Do share with me through the comments section :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
