Cointreau And Cointreauversies... At The Cointreauversial Women Party At Kue Bar, Westin! (Picture Heavy!)

Pune's Own Cointreauversial Party at Kue Bar, Westin!

Anything and everything about Dita Von Teese fascinates me! Her quintessential matte Red lip, her jet black hair coiffed in a retro chic way, the exaggerated winged liner and even the little black mole that she paints on her face, everything has me awed. And hence when I received an invite for a Cointreauversial Party that they were throwing in Pune, I was ecstatic and immediately accepted it!

Dita Von Teese is the brand ambassador for Cointreau and hence everything about the brand is charismatic and cointreauversial!

What Is Cointreau?

Cointreau is a french brand of triple sec, which is a bitter orange liqueur used in many popular cocktails like Cosmopolitan, Margarita. Long Island Ice Tea, Side Car etc.

The Underlying Theme of the Party ;)

What Are Cointreauversial Parties?

Cointreauversial means being fun, irrelevant and elegant at the same time and cointreauversial parties are just that! A brand promotion event for Cointreau, these parties are all about charismatic and confident women, letting down their hair and having a night fun with free flowing cocktails and delicious appetizers.

Last Thursday, Pune saw its own Cointreauversial Party at Kue Bar, Westin and in attendance were Manoti Makim (host of the evening) and Mr Rukn Luthra, MD, Remy Cointreau - Indian subcontinent and the Gulf...
I attended it with the pati who was filling in as the blog's official photographer and well, what a night it was! With Cointreau mixed cocktails flowing freely, an Orange themed setting setting and Pune's Page 3 glitterati, it sure was a fun night...

I was busy tweeting!

The official theme of the night was 50 Shades of Orange and all guests were requested to have at least one element of Orange in their outfit. I wore an Orange skirt with a sheer black top and accompanied the outfit with a Red lipstick!

Blogger At Work!

Apart from getting stone drunk and letting my hair down for a bit, I also met with a couple of fellow bloggers.
I am guessing that this is what they mean when they talk about mixing business with pleasure!

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
