Have You Spa-ed At The Four Fountains Spa?

Review of The Four Fountains Spa Aundh Pune

My Experience & Review of The Four Fountains Spa

My first spa experience was a couple of years back with my bestie, when we were so burning with curiosity about the whole glitz and glamour attached with a spa experience that we went on without any prior knowledge or even research... Fortunately for us it went so well that we decided to Spa regularly and that opened the doors to the exotic Spa-ing world for us...

But I still remember the excitement, the apprehension and the trepidation we felt during our first visit and I was looking for an opportunity to help my "spa-virgin" friends realise that a spa experience today is not unreachable anymore. Thus when The Four Fountains Spa very kindly offered me a therapy of my choice in a branch of my convenience, I jumped at the opportunity!

My Initial Reaction On Entering The Four Fountains Spa

I had opted for the Aundh branch, which is really close to where I stay and so on a late Saturday afternoon I arrived at the venue... The thing I really like about good and standard spas is that the moment you enter the lift to the spa, you are surrounded by a relaxing fragrance of a mix of aroma therapy oils and The Four Fountains Spa was no different. This is one thing that helps me gauge and make a pre-notion of my upcoming experience. There have been times when the approach to a spa has been a huge deterrent for me and I skip visiting it. But Four Fountain at Aundh in this case passed the litmus test and I was in a way relieved!

The moment I alighted the lift I was welcomed with very soft lighting and some more of the relaxing aroma. However, the reception area was a little crowded as the same space was housing two reception desks, one to the spa and the other to a salon on the same floor. That gave me a little apprehension about how crowded or uncrowded the actual spa area would be.

The staff at the reception desk were amazing no doubt. Extremely helpful and very very polite. Their demeanor was so calm and they spoke so softly that I was already feeling de-stressed! Seriously! Finally while going through their "menu" I asked for a hydrating facial stressing on the fact that I have dry skin. The lady at the reception however suggested the lightening facial saying that it was really good for de-tanning and that the products they used would be specific to my skin as it is and hence I shall get a dual benefit of getting my tan off as well hydrating my skin.
Aha! She got brownie points for that!

My Experience With The Service At The Four Fountains Spa

While I waited for my turn (which was actually just 7 mins as I already had an appointment with them), I glanced at the people in the waiting area... They were mostly women my age and senior citizens (both male and female)... I then realised that their "menu" contained healing services as well and made a note to mention it to my mum...

The Corridor Of The Spa Area
Once my turn came I was ushered into the "Spa Area" that was basically a dimly and aesthetically lit, plushly carpeted corridor with a number of doors leading to individual rooms. I was greeted my by specialist "Deepali" who was super courteous, soft spoken and extremely efficient! She led me into my room and asked me to change into a disposable garment. While changing I noticed the soft, soothing music that was playing in the background and relaxing aromas wafting through... It was all so surreal and relaxing... Once I had changed, Deepali came back in, covered me with a disposable sheet and started with my facial.

The Therapy Room!

She started with lightly pressing at some pressure points on my face and shoulders and by the time she started with the various potions and scrubs, I was already bordering on bliss...
The soft yet firm actions, the aura of the whole setup and the tranquil music in the background made the the whole experience so blissful.

After massaging my face, my back, my neck, removing my blackheads and all the other stuff that one does for a facial, she applied a face pack on my face and I expected her to leave the room and let me doze off for a while... But then came the icing on the cake and set this experience apart and above all other facials I have ever gotten done... She started giving me a foot and leg massage! OMG! Earlier if I was bordering on bliss, now I felt like I had achieved NIRVANA!

I am no doubt going back there for more :)

Things That Sets Facials At The Four Fountains Spa Apart From Others

1. The aura and the ambience of the place
2. The relaxing atmosphere
3. The complimentary foot massage that comes with the facial :)
4. The price is not as exorbitant as one thinks it may be (INR 1399 for a lightening facial)
5. The deliciously refreshing green tea they serve you after the therapy.

So... Let me ask you, will you spa at The Four Fountains Spa? :)

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
