Experiments: My No Kajal No Eyeliner Look!

Eye Makeup With No Kajal & No Eyeliner

A few days ago, leafing through glossy pages of a fashion magazine, I came across this look there the model had a no-makeup look on... I mean it was apparent that she was wearing makeup but the obvious tell tale signs of kajal, eyeliner, bronzer, lipstick was missing... Instead her eyes were defines using nude shades of eyeshadows, her cheeks had a natural rosy flush and her lips were made to look gorgeous all thanks to nude lip liners and transparent glosses...

This urged me to try out a truly "Neutral" Makeup Look... For someone like me who cannot live without kajals and eyeliners and bright lipsticks, it's a huge step but I am ready to take up this challenge!

Are you with me?

So... Last night, I tried using some nude eye shadows and created this EOTD... I know there are so many things that can be changed in this look... However, I feel its a decent outcome of my first trial...

What say ladies? I need feedback here!

  1. I think that's such a pretty day time look it'd look lovely with a pinky lip..I like wearing neutral eyeshadow and mascara with out liner in the day time and then kajal and liner at night

  3. yeah its good for day look . you can substitute pinkish hue in your eyeshadow by coral hue. just try it , should look good. when you have coral hue in eyeshadow use natural looking coral lippy something which covers your pigmented lips at the same time looks translucent . and when you use pinkish hue in eyeshadow use natural colour pink lippy which covers your pigmented lips at the same time looks translucent . these are suggestions from my side . how are you doing ? its been a long time .

    1. Oh yes you are right! A Coral shadow would make it look more "natural" isn't it Preeti :) I'll try that... You know to think of it, I don't think I have a Coral Eyeshadow!!! OMG! I think I need to get one ASAP :P

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
