CULT STATUS: Repurchases From The Body Shop

My Repurchases: The Body Shop Vitamin E Night Cream & Intense Moisture Cream

So... I get these pangs to meet my sister on and off... You know how it is with sisters right :) So this time on I planned a weekend trip to Bangalore to spend some quality time with my baby sister and just relax... But God had other plans and we spent the weekend doing all sorts of things...

From an overnight camping trip at the foot of Savanadurga to climbing it (it is one of the largest monolithic hills in Asia), from spending the night in tents to getting lost in the interiors of Karnataka in torrential rain, from eating voraciously to shopping like a maniac and finally ending up missing my flight back home even while arriving at the airport 1 hour before departure, the weekend at Bangalore was FABULOUS! Plus the weather! Wow the weather... You Bangaloreans reading this post are one lucky lot! :D

So anyways, while staying in Yelahanka, the closest decent mall was the Orion Mall and since every single brand was having a sale, I just went crazy... The Body Shop was having this awesome sale where they had some products on a flat 50% discount, while they had a 20% discount on any three products in the skincare range...

Taking advantage of the sales I repurchased my two most favorite skincare products, The Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream and The Body Shop Vitamin E Night Cream.

1. The Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream

This is one product that I use as a day cream and it is a boon for my dry skin especially in parched weathers of that of Pune, Bangalore and Delhi... It has a subtle, soothing fragrance that is neither fruity, nor floral nor musky... It smells of babies and mammas and all other things that are comforting...

Texture wise it is super soft and smooth and get absorbed into the skin (dry) easily and doesn't leave an icky stickiness behind...
Perfect for dry skin darlings but Oily skinned divas may want to stay away.

2. The Body Shop Vitamin E Night Cream

After I got my first fine lines scare under my eyes, I have been particularly careful about the using products at night... After doing a lot of research I zeroed onto this wonder product and I haven't looked back ever since. This is my third repurchase of the night cream and I truly love it.

The good thing about this wonder product is that it suits girls with dry and oily skin alike... My bestie and I purchased it together and she has oily skin while I have dry and we both just love it to bits.
It is a great cream for those in their late 20s and are looking for delaying the signs of aging and appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

There is another and a more popular version of The Body Shop Vitamin E series and that is the day cream, I however find it quite drying for me and I am guessing it works best for those with oily skin.

I hope you found the post useful :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…
