Cult Status: My Recent Repurchases from The Body Shop And Olay

Recent Repurchases From The Body Shop And Olay

A few weekends ago, while I was in Bombay and meeting up with the girls (Anks, Neha & Raunak), amidst all the food, gossip and parking woes, we did talk some serious talk as well... One of such talks included Neha suggesting that I should do intermittent posts on Products I Repurchase... I loved the idea! I mean what better way to follow up a raving review than with a post that corroborates the fact that I indeed loved a product and recommend it wholeheartedly. And yes ladies, if I am repurchasing something then on ISLM we award it the Cult Status :D

If you have been following ISLM for a while now, then you'll know about how huge a The Body Shop fan I am :) Oh yeah baby, skin and haircare hasn't been the same since I hopped onto the TBS fanatic bandwagon and I know it in my heart that this is one relationship I am going to cherish all my life... A bit too dramatic Eh? But that's how my love for the brand is... All drama, passion and possessiveness ;)

So starting with my repurchases...

1. The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel

For the original review, go HERE

This is my third time for repurchasing this precious elixir. It is refreshing, non-drying, pretty looking and easy to the pocket as compared to many TBS products. It's a staple on my bathroom counter and I find it relaxing and invigoration at the same time.
As you can see, it has a brand new packaging and though Ic annot say I love the new packaging more, I can totally recommend the product to everyone looking for a sweet citrusy smelling shower gel.

2. The Body Shop Banana Shampoo (And Conditioner)

For the original review, go HERE

This again is the third time I have repurchased this little wonder. I consider the day I brought this home the first time to be a Red Letter Day as my hair hasn't been softer, smoother and better cared since!
I use it as my daily shampoo and even use it after rebonding. They generally tell you to use a special/specific shampoo & conditioner after you have your hair rebonded don't they? Well I did that the first 3 times... Then I said b**ls and continued with this TBS Banana Shampoo and honestly, my hair has been much healthier :)

3. Olay 7-in-1 Anti-Aging Cream Plus Serum Duo

For the original review, go HERE

Now this was a PR sample from Indiblogger actually and I am so glad they sent the product to me. I have been hooked to it. I haven't wanted to look at any other day cream since I started using this. Yeah! not even the TBS Vitamin E Day Cream! And that's huge!
And so the moment I finished with the first bottle, I immediately went out and got myself another :)
It's a superb product for people with dry skin and looking to step into the big bad world of anti-aging products ;)

So that's it for this episode darlings!
Stay tuned for more such repurchase posts :)

What are your CULT STATUS products?

P.S. The picture above has got no connection with the post :P I put it up cause I was kinda missing my long hair and the bun that I could create with it ;)

  1. The first pic is a real beauty <3

Me too wanna start using The Body Shop Products again ;) The shower gel sounds a promising product :)

    1. ha ha thanks Vipra :D and Yup gp back to TBS... why did you stop in the first place?
The shower gels are really good and you'll love them :)

  2. i'm a TBS addict too but havent tried their shampoos ever. will do now!
I'm hugely impressed by their dry oils. do try them

    1. aaaahhh you haven't? go go check it out :) ask them for samples if they have it in stock...
yeah I had bought the Sweet Lemon dry oil but it didn't really work for me.. i mean one layer isn't enough for dry skin :/ I have to apply multiple layers... but yeah it does work like a dream in humid places like Bombay (Miami?)

  3. Great products and tbs is best for haircare.. :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
