Featuring: Kryolan Professional Lipstick in Shade LC107

It has been raining incessantly here for the past few weeks... We haven't seen the sun in ages and the days are gloomy as hell (I am assuming hell is dull, grey and sad)... Nothing makes me crankier and cribbier than the rains and I am having the toughest time trying to keep from snapping at everyone who tries to talk to me... And thus to keep myself sane and of course the others "safe", I have been indulging in bright pink lipsticks in the hope that it would help me cheer up at least for a tiny bit...

One such lipstick is the Kryolan Professional Lipstick in LC107... Its a beautiful matte pink that is just the perfect shade of pink that suits most skintones and looks like it was made just for you. It has a decent staying power and stays on for at least 4-5 hours. It is extremely comfortably priced.

Price of Kryolan Professional Lipsticks

They cost INR 250/-

The things that I dislike about the lipstick is the cheap look and feel of the packaging and the fact that it stains unevenly.

  4. Hi Samyukta ,
I am very much a marathi mulgi so I understood the (wrong) marathi you wrote :) You can talk as much marathi as you want and I will understand what you want to say .
This lipstick looks awesome . And yes , I too find it difficlut to enjoy monsoon , all I can say is one can enjoy monsoon when one is stay-at-home , monsoon is not a season office-goers can enjoy , it kills the mood to work.
Anyways , I have a few requests for you .
    1. Can you please tell me where I can buy Colorbar and Kryolan cosmetics in Pune . I know that Colorbar is located at Hadapsar but it is verrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyy far from my home . Can you tell me some other store ?
    2. I am planning to make my own wedding make up kit . Can you please tell me the minimum products I will require . I have an oily skin (so much oily that I dont need a moisturiser in rainy season ) , my problem areas are visibly open pores on nose and cheeks , a little dark skin around lips and on chin and I have a yellowish complexion like yours . Please tell me the minimum make up products I will need .
    3. I am planning to do my own make up for my wedding ( I am doubtful if i will get a good make up artist) the way you did for your wedding . I saw your wedding photos and the make up looks so well done as if done by a professional . Can you please do a small wedding make up tutorial . A wedding make up such that it goes along well with any colored saree I wear , a wedding make up which looks natural and healthy , I want that healthy glow but you know achieving that pinkish healthy glow is a bit difficult for our yellow complexion . I w
Also tell me what make up I should use for my back .
For some clue you can see Saee's wedding make up pics here . I want the look Saee is sporting . The only dofference being I can go for colored eyeshadow(Saee has not done much colored make up for her eyes , but I want an eye make up which can go well with any color saree ) and lips like coral or light pink up .
This is the picture I have in my mind , if you have any suggestions please do add as I am novice to make up and would love to get suggestions .
That was a loooooooooooooooooong post .
    Thank You
    Preeti

  6. Samyukta ,
Marriage has not yet been fixed but I want to be prepared . I have some free time and I can use it to learn make up . Thanks for the help you extended :)
The novice that I am to make up , I dont even understand how to choose the right shade for foundation and compact . I never used foundation till now , just recently i bought Lotus Herbals Purestay range foundation with spf and I dont know why when i apply it my face looks more dark , i chose the right shade for my skin the girl at the store helped me choose right shade but i am not satisfied with the way my face looks . I dont have even toned skin and before i do any kind of make up my first concern is to find a foundation/base which will give me an even-toned skin . I ahve fair cheeks , forehead and nose but dark areas around lips and on chin so when i apply foundation i dont know what to say but it doesnt look good :( can i try for lighter versions of foundation like BB cream or tinted moisturiser ?
You down with fever ? Office ko chutti ?
Yeah yeah you can practise your marathi with me , hope in the process i dont forget to my own good marathi hehe haha :D

    1. aaaaahhhhh you know Preeti and lot many people don't know about this but even if you get yourself the right shade of foundation, if it doesn't suit/match your skin type it will not even out your skin :) Do you dry/combination skin by any chance?

for a move even coverage for uneven skin, you'll need to use a foundation that boasts of heavy coverage... light coverage foundation wont do for you unless you use a concealer underneath... I hope this makes sense :)

  7. Btw , please go through Saee's wedding pics you will enjoy them .
and yes , its not 'mudawda' its 'mundaavalyaa' :)
I too LOVE the nath , it changes the look all together :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…
