REVIEW: Olay Total Effects 7-In-1 Anti-Aging Cream Plus Serum Duo

Review of Olay Total Effects 7-In-1 Anti-Aging Cream+Serum Duo

One cannot defy age they say... As much as it rings true I would truly love to defy it... I may sound vain but there is seriously nothing more difficult than making sure that your concealer doesn't settle into the fine lines around your eyes. Sighhhh... What a struggle it will be... Now truly I cannot defy age but I can at least delay the signs of aging no, can't I?

If you are a regular reader of ISLM, you'd remember that a few weeks ago I was ranting about how it was high time I started using anti-aging creams and other magic promising potions :) And it seems God heard my prayers cause the next day I was sent a tiny little dispenser of Olay Total Effects 7-In-1 Anti-Aging Cream+Serum Duo.

It is basically a concentrated moisturising formula with SPF 15. It combines the much popular Olay Total Effects Moisturiser and an intense serum.

Claims Made By Olay

1. Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
2. Balances and evens out the skintone
3. Reduces the appearance of age spots.
4. Smooths and evens out skin texture.
5. Provides nourishing moisturisation
6. Reduces dullness and gives skin radiance
7. Minimizes the appearance of pores.

This being the first anti-aging product that I got to use, I initially had no idea what to expect out of it. So the first thing I noticed about it is how hydrating and moisturising it was. I loved how it felt on my skin and I loved how it made my skin feel. Just one application and I was ready to give up all my face creams and moisturisers for this tiny little bottle of supposed elixir.

Over a period of time (more than a week) I noticed the glow that my skin radiated and how put together I looked even without makeup. Even with makeup on my skin looked radiant and flawless, my latest LOTDs are proof to that. I didn't have fine lines or age spots to begin with and so I wont be able to comment on that part of Olay's claims but as a regular moisturiser with a little SPF, that promises an evened out and a radiant complexion this little wonder is surely a winner.

Just a small mention of the fact that after I have started using this regularly for the past two weeks, I have started noticing a little tightening of the skin on my neck.

One little con that might bother some of you is that it may prove to be a little too moisturising for oily skin beauties.

Price of Olay Total Effects 7-In-1 Anti-Aging Cream+Serum Duo

It costs INR 369/- for 20 gms that goes on for 2 and a half weeks of regular usage.

I think I am going to make it my HG "anti-aging" moisturiser and so yes, definitely a repurchase.

I would highly recommend it to normal and dry skin beauties who are in their 20s and are looking for an anti-aging daily cream.

Overall Rating:

P.S. Product sent by PR for consideration. However, my review is honest and is in no way biased.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
