REVIEW: Clinique 3 Step - Step 3 - Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion

Review of Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion

Guest Post By: Mrittika

I’ve been using the 3 step for almost one and a half months now and apart from the Clarifying Lotion, the Facial cleanser and the Moisturizer will last me for another 1 month for sure, although the SA told me that the Introductory Pack will last me 1 month. I have been religiously using the 3 step twice a day, regularly.

The moisturizer is pale yellow in color and is totally “Fragrance Free” unlike the facial cleanser and clarifying lotion. I don’t like the packaging of the moisturizer at all. I really have to shake the bottle upside down couple of times to bring the moisturizer on my palm. It has been tagged as a ‘lotion’, but the consistency of the moisturizer is a bit thicker than regular lotion and a bit runnier than the ‘creams’. The formula is light. When applied, its does not feel heavy or greasy. A very little is required for face and neck. The moisturizer lives up to its name and definitely delivers a little more than regular moisturizers. This product has really worked very well on me. I generally apply it around 8.30 in the morning and have never faced any problem of dryness the entire day in AC conditions. But, I feel, if applied more than required, might result in excessive sweating.

What Clinique claims:
To moisturize, softens, smooths and improves the skin’s texture and condition. Maintains skin’s optimal moisture balance.

Price of Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion:

Rs. 1850 for 3 Step Introductory Pack (containing Liquid Facial Soap - 50 ml, Clarifying Lotion – 100 ml, Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion – 30 ml)

Ooohhs and Aaahhhs:
Maintains skin’s moisture level
Definitely made my skin smoother
Fragrance free
Non – greasy
Gets absorbed within seconds
Light in texture

Oouuches:
Pricey
Might result in more sweating if applied more.

Repurchase:
I will definitely continue with the Clinique 3 Step Skin Care System.

Recommend:
Those of you who really want to give that extra effort in skin care, must give it a try.

Rating:
8.5/10

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

10 Best Loose Powders Available in India

10 Best Loose Powders Available in IndiaISLM Writer: Sanchita

Summer is going to knock on the door soon and we, who are blessed (or cursed) with oily skin, will crawl back to our powders and/or matte foundations to keep the skin oil-free as far as possible. Being oily skinned, I have always found my way back to loose powders even though their packaging is slightly messy. This is because loose or translucent powders are more finely milled than the compact versions and hence gives you an even look rather than a made-up cakey one. Compact has the tendency to look rough under eyes or around the mouth whereas loose powders work excellently. No wonder, oily skin stays matte for longer duration than it does with the compact ones. Mostly, it gives sheer to buildable coverage and sits on the skin like a natural finish look.
