LOTD: Cult Favorite With A Gradient Purple Eye Makeup

Purple Eye Makeup With Coastal Scents 88 Original Palette

A Bright Look with a Gradient Purple Eye Makeup and a Fuchsia Lipstick

Pune today received it's first shower marking the approaching monsoons and even though I am not crazy about the rainy season, I cannot help but feel excited and elated. Why? Cause monsoons in Pune/Mumbai start in June and that marks that the passing by of one half of the year :) Also well cause June is my wedding anniversary month :) Yayee!

Last year for our anniversary we had got a fabulous chocolate cake from Parita, who is a fabulous baker... This year though, Pari is in Singapore (boohoo) and we'll have to make do with a common store baked cake :( Even the pati looked crest fallen when I told him that the cake this year will not be baked by Parita... Ha ha ha!

Pari, we love your baking babe!

So anyways, today's post has got nothing anf trust me absolutely nothing with all the ranting I have been doing... Nope! It is not related to the monsoons, neither it has anything to do with our anniversary nor does Pari's baking skills come in the picture :P

Anyhoooo, the look that I am sharing with you today is again a little controversial :/ But let's start with describing it first... When I first started out with the look I planned to keep the focus on my eyes by doing a gradual vertical gradient effect in Purple... And yup it was accomplished! However, the issue rose when I decided to pair it with an equally striking lip color! Ha! I initially had planned to go with a nude but somehow ended but with this super fuchsia shade of Pink! The lipstick shade btw is Maybelline 14 hours Superstay Lipstick in Eternal Rose

So here's the look and you guys be the judge of it :)

  5. nice eye make up , though i would say one needs guts to carry pure purple eye make up . the fuchsia pink lipstick does justice to the eye make up . if anyone would have verbally mentioned such a combination many would have smirked but you see samyukta , when you actually put on this kinda make up it doesnt look un-co-ordinated. sometimes we get treasures when we are hunting in undergrounds...dont we ? :) and well as mentioned sometimes some things which are actually wrong simply seem sooooooo right when they come into reality :) (quoting this from one of your previous posts where you wore the procelain look with mac ruby woo )

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :) Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;) Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal

Good Health: My Slimming Diet and Exercise Regimen

I was planning on starting this post with a quote on health and all that jazz but then I realized you are here reading this post not cause you want to see my writing style but are here cause you actually want to read the contents :) So I will start without much intro but a little disclaimer before that ;) Disclaimer I am not a doctor or a nutritionist or even a dietitian. I have found out from experience what works for me and I am sharing it with you guys. You are to find out what is right for you and make your own permutations and combination to this regimen of mine depending on your target weight, your lifestyle and all :) Before I start there are a couple of points we need to keep in mind: 1. In order to lose weight one needs to burn more calories than you take in. 2. The human body takes about only 1200 calories to do the routine functions of respiration, digestion etc. 3. Just because you are not taking 3 full meals a day does not mean that you are starving yourself or ar

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener  Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work... Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!
