Review of Maybelline Colorsensational Hi Shine Lip Gloss

The other day while discussing the possibilities of a break-in, the pati and I got down to list out the stuff that could be in danger of getting stolen. Ummm yeah we do a lot of random stuff like this and make a lot of nonsensical notes that help no one, not even us... But we just do it... So anyways coming back to our list making, he and I were totally engrossed for about 5 minutes after which we called it a time out and compared notes... My list contained the television, refrigerator and other kitchen appliances while the pati had only one entry in his list... Suma's Makeup...

Now let me take through the course of emotions that I went through during that split second... WTF (indignation)... Disbelief... Reality Check... Awww so sweet (Love)... Mortification...
Raise hands if this situation is true with you as well :D

Anyways... My point of ranting such random stuff is actually nada but well yeah I got a new lip gloss for my stash! Yay! :D

Of course you've heard of the Maybelline Colorsensational Hi Shine Lip Gloss and of course you have by now read umpteen number of reviews of the same but somehow every review does add in something extra doesn't it :) So here goes mine...

Maybelline Colorsensational Hi Shine lip glosses are these new badasses in town that promise you bold, vibrant pouts complete with the highest shine! So this means you can gloss the town red, pink, orange and purple and totally get away with it :) These are extremely lightweight and they aren't really sticky or tacky... Texture wise I prefer them to MAC's Lipglasses! I received the shade called Raspberry Reflections and even though it looked like a rich fucsia/puple gloss, on the lips, it's a beautiful glossy pink :)

As you can see in the picture above, it has a bent applicator that helps in precise application of the product.

Also, it comes with a separator insert inside the tube and helps in "straining" the product that leaves excess product inside the tube and hence prevents wastage! How innovative! :D

Pigmentation wise it is sheer no doubt but somehow it doesn't look bad on pigmented lips. Rather it is one of those very few glosses that actually flatter my lips :) It stays on me for 3-4 hours very easily and fades into a light stain that is equally beautiful...

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
