Rants And A Random EOTD

Prospective Tutorial Candidate...

I have been in a super organizing mode since the past couple of weeks. The pati calls it the "Monica Mode" (Friends-esque). He says I transform into this scary person who doesn't listen to legit explanations (read excuses) or identify with any reason (read laziness) and just go on cleaning, putting things in their "proper" place, discarding stuff we don't use any more and well basically just not let anyone relax... I don't see any harm in it especially since it surfaces only once in two months... But of course the pati has a different story to tell...

Now, when I am in this so called "Monica Mode", it isn't just the house that gets a good cleaning... My "magic fairy dust" touches the car, my office bag, my wardrobe, my vanity and well very importantly my phone. You see my phone is the most important device that can ever exist on this planet Earth... Errrmm... Barring clean drinking water, good food, the internet and well kajal but then you do get the drift don't you... But seriously, for the little world that my blog sees, my phone really is the basis of its existence. It contains pictures of all past, present and future posts that has been seen or will be seen on ISLM. This of course counts of frequent picture deletions, sorting of pictures and well basically organizing the data on my phone...

On one such expedition this merry afternoon, I came across pictures of this EOTD that I had done a while ago using MAC Atlantic Blue Eyeshadow.

Here are a couple of more pictures...

Do let me know if you like the look and if you need me to do a tutorial for this :)

In other news... I totally am watching the Game Of Thrones episode that I missed this week! Yayee!

    1. awwww does it? it could be due to two reasons.. one that you have greyish dark circles or secondly cause you are not using a base under your eye shadow in order to bring out the deep pigment of the shadow... try working on these two points and you might have Blue working for you gorgeously :D

I had the same issue with Greens btw ;)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
