MAC Ruby Woo Makes Everything Right!

MAC Ruby Woo

MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick Does It Agian!

Ever wanted something so so so badly that even though you knew it was bad for you, your passion for it made it alright? Ever did something really really bad, so bad that it became right? My last night's makeup experiments took me underground where there were temptations everywhere, so much so that after a while everything started feeling right and non-evil :P

Am talking about this makeup look I did last night... This look is so wrong in so many levels. The intense black smokey eye should never go with an intensely Red lip (Fist Law of Makeup). The dramatic false lashes with glitter and well the BIG hair... LOL!

But the more drama I started adding to the look, the more taken I was with the overall effect... And needless to say MAC Ruby Woo is magical! The best red lipstick ever!

So here's the look, replete with a porcelain face, bright red lips, intense smokey eyes and a hippy necklace ;)

  1. Whoa ! Simply stunning ! Love your skin here. Oh and how do you get your hair to stay 'big' like that ? Mine just kind of falls flat. I in fact learnt to pouf it from the tute you did long back...but my hair never stays in that position for more than a little while ! :/

    1. ha ha thanks darling... btw if you've followed the rubber band trick and if that also doesn't hold your hair then sweetheart I must say that you have been blessed with the most beautiful and silkiest of hairs :)
Use a hairspray after setting your hair in a pouf :) it should hold it longer then :D

can you please give me a breakdown of that porcelain look and how you achieved it .
And yes , I think one can add qualities through make up like innocent look , naughty look , flirty look . Thats what make up is all about , right ?

    1. ummmm as far as I understand makeup, there are two kinds... one that disguises you (theater makeup) that allows a person to look the opposite that he or she actually looks in real life and the other that is real life makeup that can only aim at enhancing what you are already blessed with :)

We at least I do the latter... I can't make a person look different, I am trained :) What i do is enhance some feature, playing up the eyes or the mouth or downplaying some other feature... you know that sort... this kind of makeup largely depends upon a person's natural features... For example, if I say large doll-like lashes can make a person look innocent or wide-eyed like how Sharmila Tagore looked, it'll be wrong! Cause even Helen wore similar lashes but she always managed to look so sensual and come hither kinds!

Similarly, if I say a winged liner can make you look so confident and hot like it did for Helen or Vaijantimala but it had the opposite effect on Sharmila Tagore (God! I am obsessed with that woman)...

What am trying to say is that apart from a couple of tips and tricks makeup has not many rules.. All it needs is people to experiment with their features and find what works for them and what doesn't :)

Regarding the porcelain look, it's going live today evening ;) I must THANK YOU a lot a lot a alot for your patience Preeti :) It was really sweet of you to not get exasperated with my delaying it :) ♥

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…
