Haul! MAC, Rimmel London & Sally Hansen...

 Haul Time!

You know the joy of eating a choco-chip cookie? Of course Chocolate... But what I am talking about here is the joy of eating a choco-chip cookie over a chocolate cookie... It is the little bits of chocolatey surprise that you get with a random bite, a stray munch... Yup! The joy of something pleasant coming up suddenly... Yesterday's holiday from work in the middle of the week was something of that kind :)

Yesterday was May 1st that is known to be Martyr's Day/Labour Day/May Day and well for us lucky people Maharashtra Day :) And on this day every year we enjoy an unplanned break :) And what better way to celebrate a holiday that also is a salary day?

Yup!
Shopping :D

So I hopped and skipped and reached Koregaon Park Plaza that lately has become my favorite shopping hub. And why wouldn't be? It has Clinique, MAC, Parcos, L'Occitane, Forest Essentials and Colorbar all next to each other :D ^_^

So anyways... The moment I come up the escalator, I notice Parcos. Now do note that I never ever peep into Parcos but since the day I read Awungshi's post about Parcos stocking Rimmel London products, I had to peep in and check if the Parcos at Pune stock them too... And Lo and Behold... It does! Parcos Pune has a Rimmel London counter and a Sally Hansen counter in addition to Maxfactor and Bourjios :) Yayeee!!!

I tried out almost all lippies at the Rimmel Counter and barring for a few I did not like any... The shade selection wise and the quality wise :( I mean I wasn't ready to pay 475/- for a lippy that had the same quality as a Maybelline Colorsensational one :/ Yup! It could be just me... But what I really liked about the Rimmel counter was the array of mascaras it was offering... I picked up Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Showoff Masacara. I loved the name and the unique brush it comes with :)

Next while browsing through nail paints, I asked the SA if they had any pure glitter nail paints... The SA then diverted me to the Sally Hansen counter and well I fell in love with the 4 shades of glitter nail paints they had! I picked up Sally Hansen Gem Crush Nail Color In Showgirl Chic (01). It is this gorgeous opaque silver glitter nail paint with hints of turquoise blue shimmer! It looks simply outstanding :) I bought it and I must say it is the most expensive nail paint I own at INR 450/- :P

Next I hit the MAC store and well it's like I reached Paradise... I go on a swatching rampage at MAC... Every freaking time and this time was no different as I was also sampling the MAC Archies Collection... Honestly? There was nothing from the collection that caught my eye or fancy for that matter and so I moved towards the permanent collection and got myself MAC Swimming Eyeshadow, MAC Brush Cleanser (thanks to Preetha's positive review), an empty palette of 4 (the one of 15 costs a freaking 3k!) and MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study...

Yup the reviews are on their way :D

    1. well thats old news Pari... They have now come up with these new ones where it consists of 2 parts... the palette itself which is like totally empty and then the insert which has all the grooves and they charge the customers for both parts which is $18 and $9 respectively...
      Yup! they are cheating us!

    3. Hi... I called up MAC immediately after I read your post. They have discontinued those old palettes and you have to buy the separator separately. :-|

    4. Ohh don't the empty palettes have a magnetic base? We could use it like the Z-palettes without the need for separator then!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
