REVIEW: Colorbar Definer Lip Liner In Just Coral

Review Of Colorbar Definer Lip Liner In Just Coral

I like to think of myself as a low maintenance girl. Of course, the amount of truth behind that statement can only be validated by the pati. When I say low maintenance, I of course do not mean that I need no taking care of and the stuff that comes with it, what I mean is that I prefer makeup and products that need no touching up throughout the day ;) I just cannot be the one seen in office and mall washrooms doing my makeup, combing my hair or spraying perfumes... Not that I have anything against who do that, it's just that I prefer to be discreet or rather really inconspicuous when I am "touching up"...

When I talk about No Touch-Up Beauty Products, the first thing that comes to mind is a matte lippy,
followed by lip liners as a close second. So when I chanced upon a Colorbar Store while coming out of MAC, I decided to give the Colorbar Definer Lip Liner Pencils a shot!

Link to swatches of all Colorbar Definer Lip Liner Pencils.

Now, the obvious choice for me where the shade selection was concerned was either a Pink or a Red. However, I surprisingly got drawn to an Orange shade. Now, I have always maintained that Orange lippies do not suit me! The closest I have gone to wearing Orange on my lips is wearing MAC Chili, which is a gorgeous Orange based Red and is a perfect shade for those who are neither comfortable with a bright red nor with a bright Orange. So this shade that I choose at the Colorbar store is a burnt shade of Orange that borders close to rust and I immediately make up my mind to get it.

The shade that I have been ranting about all this while is called Just Coral and one would expect it to be a pretty and bright shade of Coral (duh!). But surprise surprise! it's anything but Coral :P

These Colorbar Definer Lip Liner Pencils come with their own built-in sharpeners that is a blessing really. These pencils are really long and creamy and do not tug at your lips when applied. They are neither hydrating and nor are they drying. They are just creamy and sit on your lips making you look pretty :) This particular shade is an extremely flattering one and will suit almost all Indian skin tones. I particularly love the way they glide onto my lips and gives me the perfect coverage. They are highly pigmented and are a boon for girls who have pigmented lips like me.

Quality-wise they really are a steal and I love the way my lips even after 7 hours of wear. They fade to a pretty stain and hence stay on for pretty long.

Price of Colorbar Definer Lip Liner Pencils:

They cost INR 550/-

Oooohhhsss And Aaaaahhhhsssss!!!
1. Gorgeously creamy consistency
2. A shade of burnt orange that promises to suit an array of skin tones.
3. Though it sets to a matte finish, it is not drying.
4. Comes with a built-in sharpener.
5. Available in very pretty and flattering shades.
6. Packaging is gorgeous and the pencil itself looks very pretty and even classy!
7. They are both smudgeproof and waterproof

1. It might just feel to be a tad bit on the expensive side.

The shades in this range are so gorgeous that I am really tempted to get myself a couple of shades more... Maybe a pink and a red? And the nude ;)

If you've been shying away from Orange on your lips but want to finally give in to the Orange rage, then this is the shade for you :) If you are looking for a creamy, matte finish lip pencil to fill in your lips, then this is a must for you and if you are looking for something that doesn't dry your lips or settles in your fine lines then this is surely for you!

There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

REVIEW: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame

Review of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Longwear High Impact Stick - Fuchsia Fame
Right now am sitting at the dining table trying to figure out a way to start this post in an "interesting" way... I am obviously struggling... There are these times when your mind just goes blank and you can't think of anything, right? Yeah, I am having one of those moments...

So, I guess I'll directly dive into the review and not mull around. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick on a whim... I was out window shopping at Shoppers Stop and I just happened to glance at the L'Oreal counter and this cute little stub caught my fancy... The moment I swatched it I knew I had to buy it...

Price of L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blush Paint Stick It costs a whopping INR 999/-

There is nothing much to talk about the packaging. It is exactly what it looks like, a rotating chubby stick with a cap. The plastic doesn't seem cheap and is pretty sturdy. I have d…

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018

How I Wear My Denim Jacket To Be In Trend for 2018 Denim is forever. It's versatility makes it a classic and in the form of a jacket it not just looks dapper and en vogue but is also comfortable and convenient... I love denim jackets because they are perfect for Pune's so called Winters and because they are the best accessories for any kind of outfit...

Going through some of the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections from the likes of Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Stella McCartney, denim on denim seemed to be the trend in boxy and boyish silhouettes. I am not a very big fan of denim and denim and hence I prefer to pair my boxy denim jacket with a flowy, floral dress that makes the look strike a balance between feminine and androgynous.
